There comes a time when every band has to make the leap from new to old, green to veteran, amazing to reliable, exciting to enjoyable. "Louder Than Hell" is fairly typical of Manowar thematically and musically. After hearing this one, it's very clear that Manowar doesn't want to change anything of their classic and "true" sound. They will keep playing loud and Epic Heavy Metal, till the day of their death. And it's great to know that. Manowar is stuck in the sound of the "Kings Of Metal" album, with heavy anthems against false Metal and Epic Power ballads, wich always remember to that beautiful song, "Heart of Steel". Yes, here's nothing new, the same old Manowar, but the band is so great that it doesn't matter, although Manowar is releasing albums just like an excuse to play new songs live... they still are the same kickassing band!!
It is the first album to feature guitarist Karl Logan, as well as the return of drummer Scott Columbus (R.I.P.).
Cover art was done by Ken Kelly. The songs "Brothers of Metal", "Courage" and "Number One" were demoed and played live by the band already in 1986, 10 years before their official album release.

Tighter than a tumble-dried loin cloth, the standout track "Ride the Dragon" is an exceptionally fast number that signifies a commitment toward high-speed compositions on the part of bassist/songwriter Joey DeMaio. There is absolutely no subtlety or irony to Manowar or their cartoon Metal and many listeners will have trouble taking either seriously. Their credo, "Death to false Metal" and similar messages are constantly repeated, and unlike other comic book outfits like Gwar, Manowar aren't hamming it up for laughs. They're dead serious. While it's understandable that audiences and critics refuse to even acknowledge Manowar's heavy-handed rallying cries (in America that is, while the band is often given favorable notices in the European metal press), there is also something admirable about musicians so committed to what they do, even if it is silly. Loyalty is a rare human attribute and on "The Triumph Of Steel" Manowar demonstrate plenty of it to their fans, their craft, and themselves. When considering this veteran outfit, listeners and critics fond of heavy music might pause their snickering for a moment and give Manowar a little credit. For decades the band worked for an ideal, not fashion or money. In so doing, they helped define the bizarre edge of Metal's amorphous but very real culture!

Re-release of the first demo by legendary Swedish Blackened Death Metal band.
It was recorded and mixed at Gorysound Studios, and self-released by the band on pro-printed cassette in June 1991. On April 21, 1995, Osmose Productions officially released it on CD and 7" vinyl for the first time. Following its CD release, "Fuck Me Jesus" was banned in seven countries, due to its explicit cover art.
"Fuck Me Jesus" is a very Death Metal-sounding recording with a heavy and fat sound. The song structures are basically Death Metal as well, combining heavy riffs with hammering two-beats. What makes a difference are some occasional Grind parts, melodic guitars, and of course the hellish vocals of Andreas. Nastier and uglier than even most Death Metal at the time, "Fuck Me Jesus" firmly established Marduk's brand of unholiness with a vengeance. 
"Departure from the Mortals", "The Black…" and "Within the Abyss" were re-recorded for the band's 1992 debut full-length, "Dark Endless".
With its raspy scathing vocals, drums like thundering death and a guitar sound that vomits blackness, "Fuck Me Jesus" possesses a sound that has rarely been rivalled since. Not only is this a must-have for all Marduk fans, but true maniacs of the Underground Black/Death scene should revisit this classic!

"Nightwing" did not offer something completely new, but its songs kept firing full blast and they did not lack of variety. Nobody could blame Marduk for delivering just more of the same.
It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between October and November 1997.
The theme of the album was "Blood", as the band's following studio albums "Panzer Division Marduk" would be "War", and "La Grande Danse Macabre" would be "Death", forming a trilogy of "Blood, War and Death" - Marduk's vision of what Black Metal is.

Remastered re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary Swedish Black Metal band.
The last Marduk album to feature Joakim Göthberg on vocals and Dan Swanö as mixer, "Opus Nocturne" also was the first album to showcase Marduk's signature hyper-speed blast beat tempo; however it still contained much of the melody from "Those Of The Unlight", while retaining this break-neck speed, instead of sheer brutality on albums like "Heaven Shall Burn… When We Are Gathered" and "Nightwing".
On "Opus Nocturne" a lot of effort has been made to make the material sound different. The sound, the length of most of the tracks (often exceeding 5 minutes), Joakim's vocals (less manic) and the proportions of brutality and climate (with a slight predominance of the latter) are different here. All these "novelties", however, blend well with the music and show another, slightly different face of the band. And most importantly, the "religious" Marduk was much better than the "war" one! The longer tracks, in particular, are interesting here, the most of which, were on the album, for example "The Sun Has Failed", "From Subterranean Throne Profund" or "Sulfur Souls". 
The sound, again made by Dan Swanö, is also great - raw and bitter, and at the same time clearly legible and without Black Metal "buzzing".
It all adds up to a great long play for Marduk, actually one of their best alongside the previous two. From the climate to the brutality, everything just on "Opus Nocturne" is correct! There is hardly any better compensation in this style.
"Materialized in Stone" was originally the title for the track "From the Dark Past" that appears on Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas". The title was changed by Per Yngve Ohlin before his death. Marduk later adopted the title for the song on this album. They had previously also used a song title by Ohlin on their album "Those Of The Unlight". This is considered a vague tribute to Per and his works.
In 2004, the album was remastered by the band's former member Devo Andersson and re-released by Regain Records. 
"Opus Nocturne" is another mandatory listen for any beginner getting into Extreme Black Metal. You won’t be disappointed with this fantastic record!

Formed with the ambitious goal of becoming ‘the most brutal and blasphemous Metal act ever’, Marduk have sweat for over two decades to bring blood, darkness and an unrelentingly Extreme brand of Metal to the world, rightfully earning a place as one of Sweden’s most famous (or perhaps more accurately, infamous) Black Metal bands in the process. Unleashed at the very birth of the nineties, the band has continued to shed its skin, serpentine-like from album to album, each time revealing new layers, both subtle and stark, that have kept them at the forefront of the genre.
The track listing of the "World Funeral" is organized as to create a dynamic change of paces and atmospheres, the tracks generally alternating between a fast, slow, fast, etc. pattern. Balancing fast tracks with mid-paced tracks, it was a disappointment for fans expecting another head-to-toe fast album a la "Panzer Division Marduk". Many fans suggested the band was going for a more commercial "mainstream" approach, while others complimented their attempt to broaden their sound.
"World Funeral" is a very good Marduk album. It’s certainly not the very best due to one or two redundant songs, losing out to quite a few of the band's other albums, but is mostly an excellent representation of the band’s overall sound and definitely a worthy piece of work. It’s a good way for Legion to end his illustrious association with the band, being one of the highlights of his career, even though the entire band has something great to offer here.

"Smells Like Children" is a second full-lenght album by band Marilyn Manson. Various contributions by engineer and Skinny Puppy producer Dave Ogilvie, Nine Inch Nails keyboardist Charlie Clouser and new material by the band resulted in an eclectic and unusual combination of material. The album was produced by Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson and represents an era of the band full of drugs, abuses, tours, sound experimentations and is also a reference to the movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. All the ideas and tracks for this EP were created and composed during the “Portrait of an American Family tour” and is also the first Marilyn Manson work that features Ginger Fish on drums. Marilyn Manson referred to this album as "An album that looks like an album for children that is not for children". On the bottom edge of the disc you can see the words "Keep this and all drugs away from small children". A number of covers are included on the album, most famous of which is the band's cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", which helped to skyrocket the band into the mainstream. The other covers on the album are the Patti Smith song "Rock N Roll Nigger" and Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You". Manson's recording of "I Put a Spell on You" was also featured on the soundtrack for the David Lynch film “Lost Highway”.
The album has sold over 1.3 million copies in the U.S.

The fifth full-length album by the German Metalcore band.
German panzer Maroon return in full swing with their heaviest, most diverse and visionary opus to date! Driven by the bands steadfast dedication to honest, vigorous and timeless Metal sounds, "Order" marks the culmination of the bands most creative and focused song-writing phase. Despite being known as a kick-ass, relentlessly touring act from tours/shows with the likes of Samael, Obituary, Arch Enemy, Black Dahlia Murder, Korn, As I Lay Dying, 2008 was a rather quiet year for Maroon in terms of live appearances. But, of course, the band did not twiddle their thumbs! The quintet locked themselves up for almost four months to invest as much time and concentration as possible into the work on its stunning new sonic bombardment!
"Order" kicks off with the atmospheric intro "Morin Heights" invoking the grandeur and tension of classic Metallica whereas the following tracks venture into melodic Death Metal territory ("Erode"), combine Doomy mid-tempo with a traditional Thrashing crunch and shredding leads ("Bleak"), include catchy mosh-anthems ("Stay Brutal") and even Black Metal ferocity ("Children Of The Next Level"). With the closing track "Schatten" (Shadows), Maroon have also written their first song featuring German lyrics. The over 7 minutes long, epic track is based upon a poem by German author Friedrich Rückert (1788-1866) who wrote over 400 poems after two of his children died of scarlet fever to at least try to cope with this tragic loss. "Schatten" is probably the darkest, most captivating and emotional song on "Order" and a great climax to the most ambitious and intense album in the bands career!!
The album debuted at number 63 on the German Media Control Charts.

The fifth full-length album by the German Metalcore band.
German panzer Maroon return in full swing with their heaviest, most diverse and visionary opus to date! Driven by the bands steadfast dedication to honest, vigorous and timeless Metal sounds, "Order" marks the culmination of the bands most creative and focused song-writing phase. Despite being known as a kick-ass, relentlessly touring act from tours/shows with the likes of Samael, Obituary, Arch Enemy, Black Dahlia Murder, Korn, As I Lay Dying, 2008 was a rather quiet year for Maroon in terms of live appearances. But, of course, the band did not twiddle their thumbs! The quintet locked themselves up for almost four months to invest as much time and concentration as possible into the work on its stunning new sonic bombardment!
"Order" kicks off with the atmospheric intro "Morin Heights" invoking the grandeur and tension of classic Metallica whereas the following tracks venture into melodic Death Metal territory ("Erode"), combine Doomy mid-tempo with a traditional Thrashing crunch and shredding leads ("Bleak"), include catchy mosh-anthems ("Stay Brutal") and even Black Metal ferocity ("Children Of The Next Level"). With the closing track "Schatten" (Shadows), Maroon have also written their first song featuring German lyrics. The over 7 minutes long, epic track is based upon a poem by German author Friedrich Rückert (1788-1866) who wrote over 400 poems after two of his children died of scarlet fever to at least try to cope with this tragic loss. "Schatten" is probably the darkest, most captivating and emotional song on "Order" and a great climax to the most ambitious and intense album in the bands career!!
The album debuted at number 63 on the German Media Control Charts.

It’s considered by band as not a full-length album, just a collection of three different EPs of the artist's unreleased material, which differ in terms of sound and atmosphere, but are united by the melancholy of Martyr Lucifer's dark soul. The collection gathers trilogy of "Shard One", "Shard Two" and "Shard Three" EPs.
Featuring members of At the Gates, Paradise Lost, Brujeria, The Haunted, Ancient and Nokturnal Mortum, this work raises points of interest not only from a musical point of view, but also from the occult and symbolic ones. The artist has accustomed us, since his solo debut, to complete works that offer not only sound, but also a complete artwork with puzzles to discover and interpret. And "Shards" is no exception.
