The band was formed by Robert Sennebäck, David Blomqvist and Fred Estby in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1988 and has long since been regarded as one of the originators of the trademark Swedish Death Metal sound, next to other pioneering bands such as Entombed, Grave and Unleashed.
Four years after the release of the controversial "Hate Campaign" album, which marked the longest break in their discography, Dismember makes a triumphant return with an album that reaches new heights of greatness. In contrast to their Swedish counterparts, Entombed, who displayed signs of decline after their first three albums, Dismember managed to maintain a consistently high standard throughout their career.
2004s "Where Ironcrosses Grow" seamlessly picks up where their 1997 effort "Death Metal" left off. Despite the absence of guitarist Robert Sennebäck, who departed the band after 'Death Metal', the return of Richard Cabeza to the line-up propelled Dismember to deliver yet another outstanding album.
Matti Kärki's vocals are nothing short of phenomenal. They stand at the pinnacle of maturity, sounding deep and brutal, reminiscent of Dismember's early works. They go along perfectly with the lyrics, which continue to revolve around familiar themes such as death, war, and misanthropy. David Blomqvist on guitars once again demonstrates the significant influence of Iron Maiden on the band. While this influence is more evident than ever in this album, it doesn't compromise the brutality and sheer aggression that define Dismember's sound. On the contrary, the melodic leads and solos, strategically placed throughout the album, provide a perfect counterpoint to the heavy, chainsaw-like HM-2 guitar tone — the trademark sound in the entirety of Swedish death metal scene. Songs like "Tragedy of the Faithful" or "Sword of Light" are perfect examples of the marriage between the rotten Death Metal sound of Autopsy and the harmonious melodies of Iron Maiden.
Richard Cabeza, one of the primary songwriters for the band, returns after a two-year hiatus and is back on duty. His absence was apparent in the previous release 'Hate Campaign', which, although a decent album, failed to meet the established standards for a Dismember release. Fortunately, his contribution to this album comes with a renewed sense of creativity and energy. Fred Estby's contribution to the album is undoubtedly essential for its overall success. As the driving force behind Dismember, Estby's immaculate drumming, songwriting, and lyrical contributions are evident. Moreover, serving as the album's producer, Estby has excelled in capturing a muddy and heavy production reminiscent of Dismember's debut album. This production aligns seamlessly with the dark, abyssal atmosphere that brings Dismember back to their roots and to their original sound.
In summary, this album is criminally underrated. It marks a great return for Dismember, setting the stage for the subsequent two releases.
Between 1988 and 2008 Dismember earned a notorious reputation as the “Motörhead version of Death Metal”, through eight classic albums and furious live shows around the globe. After an eight-year hiatus, the band's original line-up reunited for a 30th anniversary gig at Scandinavia Death Fest in October 2019, performing together for the first time in over 20 years. Since then, the band has remained active playing festivals and shows all around the globe, relaunching their impressive back catalogue and working on new material.

Official worldwie release of the second full-length album by Polish Heavy/Power Metal band.
Recorded from March until September 2015, the album consists of 10 tracks in classic Heavy/Power Metal style. Drums were recorded in the renowned Hertz Studio, which works with world's leading Metal bands (Vader, Behemoth, Decapitated), while guitars, bass and vocals were recorded in Dobra 12 Studio, supervised by Piotr Polak. The album was mixed and mastered in Hertz Studio as well.
An interesting bit is definitely the guest appearance of Wojciech Hoffmann from the band Turbo on the title track. The musician, an icon of Polish Rock and Metal scene, played an exceptional solo, which certainly gives the song an additional bite.
"Tears Of The Ages" it's 50 minutes of real Metal music comprising tradition and modernity. Strong but melodic riffs along the lines of the genre classics like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Judas Priest. The sound is modern, powerful and elaborate, carrying the echoes of the pioneers' heirs, such as Primal Fear. Each piece is complemented by a number of juicy solos, and high-pitched melodic vocals are a flagship of this material. If we add fantasy themed and existential lyrics, then we receive a full picture of a varied, feisty and ambitious album!
This is a great album with rapid fire drums and shredding guitar solos that leaves you wanting more!!
Highly recommended for fans of: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Primal Fear and Helloween!!!

Exactly this is remastered re-edition of the Japanese only release "Dokken" (1994), including two more tracks.
It was the band's first release after reuniting in 1993. CD is aptly titled considering the feuding between the original band members. "Dysfunctional" is a decent, yet uninspiring album and doesn't exactly recall the glory days of the band. Dokken's 1995 album was more of a marketing move than an inspired musical collaboration. All of the members from the band's highwater mark in the '80s returned for "Dysfunctional", but they sound as if they haven't resolved their differences yet.
Honestly though, there are a few decent cuts on this disc. "The Maze" is a decent song with a slight King's X vibe and "Too High to Fly" is an excellent song. "Lesser of Two Evils" isn't a bad song either and reminds of the Dokken of old.
Overall the sound here is an attempt at Alternative Rock in order to fit in with the times ('95), although the band also took some music cues from their 70s heros as well.
Although the album entered the chart respectfully at #47 at a time when 1980s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal had largely declined, sales quickly dropped off and were not enough to reach Gold RIAA certification. According to Don Dokken, the album sold around 400,000 copies. The song "Too High to Fly" was released as a single from the album and was a minor hit. As of 2009, it is the only song from the post-1980s portion of the bands' back catalogue that is still performed live, albeit only occasionally.

Domain (Pandemonium) are the legend of Polish Underground scene. The band originally formed under the name Pandemonium, but because of problems with band name caused of line-up changes, they changed the name to Domain in 1995. Band went back to using the name Pandemonium in 2004. Therefore, we can call it as a second full-length of Pandemonium.
Domain, after problems with the Pandemonium name, in 1995 released ironically named debut “Pandemonium”. Album number two, "The Devil's Eyes", is a much more focused and better produced recording but musically speaking it’s a giant leap forward! The band is still churning out its own brand of wicked occult Heavy Metal, still highly influenced by Mercyful Fate and Ghost, but overall, Doom's Day 2014 is a much more aggressive band, showcasing a much stronger musicianship and bigger, more expensive arrangements. They basically pushed their own limits to new levels of greatness! The Devil's Eyes is a masterpiece of modern Heavy Metal and Doom's Day is currently one of the greatest bands to look for in Canada!!

This band came together, to create their own interpretation of Heavy Rock music in vein of Black Sabbath, Hawkwind or Electric Wizzard. Especially Ozzy and his band mates during their "Paranoid" period seem to be the biggest influence for these Polish rockers.
The presented six songs have already been recorded back in 2012 and are rich in variety. Heavy doomed guitars and a fine melodic lead guitar, offering some really fine melodies, taking you on a journey back to the 70s, where music was made far away from any genres or style boundaries. Everybody just played, what was in his mind and so Rock music in its various forms was born. Warm keyboard sounds in the background bring back some memories of the good old hammond organ. Influences of classic Heavy Metal as well as some Doom Metal are mixed together with pure classic Rock.
Incredible mixture of raw Heavy Metal, Hard/Doom Rock, classical Doom Metal with elements of Psychodelia and Kraut Rock. If you are into this kind of music or simply need something different during the hot summer period, check these guys out!

Once known as Uvall, Dormant has risen from those ashes to become the new solo project of God is Myth label owner Todd Paulson. Many will undoubtedly remember Uvall from their two full-length offerings on the BlackMetal.com label as well as one of the early God is Myth releases, a split with Bare-Sark. When Uvall effectively ended in 2006 after the release of “October Turns...Ruined”, Todd began this interesting project with a fairy strange and wonderful sound.
Dormant combines the unique qualities of Neofolk and Pagan Black Metal, while using synth disharmony and unexpected placement to give the music its special edge. "Beneath The Mighty Oak" combines aspects of Black Metal, Folk, Heavy Metal and Rock, and features guest contributions from members of Caina, Autumnal Winds and Celestiial.
Much of the clean guitar work on the album is laden with reverb to give it a very open and “rainy” feel, always making the music thick with texture and emotion. "Beneath The Mighty Oak" takes a different outlook into effect on the Pagan style, it focuses on the darker side and the beauty. It’s not all swords and pounding chests. There's a very definitive foreboding nature to the mysticism found in heathen ancestory, and "Beneath The Mighty Oak" pays tribute to this fact.
This is one of the strongest debut efforts from any project this year, and should be taken with all seriousness. If you love Atmospheric Metal or some experimentation to it as well, this one is for you!!

And I could not do anything. It was then that I sank into the plains of non existence, where everything turns into a nightmare. A Dark and gloomy trip ended with a death, and a rebirth.
