"Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX" is an utter masterpiece in nearly every way; a diamond in the rough of orchestral live shows. Even with Septicflesh’s brilliant use of orchestra in the studio since "Communion" back in 2008, little did you'll not realize how damned alive the beast could become!
The production is staggering. The orchestra is full and atmospheric, and sounds very close to the studio versions albeit with a sense of immediacy and living grandiosity, which works really well here. The mix is just stunning, and the partnership between powerful Metal-based instrumentation along with the Symphonic lends an almost tangible feel; as if you can really sink your teeth into the sound.
Probably what differentiates the tracks here from their studio editions, apart from the passionate Mexican crowd, are the demonic vocals of Seth Siro Anton. Yes, they sound great on the albums, but on this performance he just lets loose. This is one of the great vocal performances, and his impassioned growls help the tracks explode from the speakers. He holds the crowd in the palm of his hand with his various directions, demands and diabolical messaging.
It’s a brilliant live album, a fitting best-of, and an elevated aural experience of the world’s greatest Symphonic band! Septicflesh are the undisputable masters of Symphonic Death Metal, and this live experience is the perfect proof for this bold statement!!

"Ophidian Wheel" marks a critical turning point in the band's career. On this album, Septic Flesh further expanded their musical vocabulary, and added female soprano vocalist Natalie Rassoulis. The album sees the band moving even further into the Symphonic-laden and Classically-tinged Metal arrangements that have become their calling card.
Musically, this album is much more straightforward than previous albums, fusing an aggressive Death Metal style with elements of Gothic Rock.

Also, it is the only Septic Flesh album not to feature guitarist/composer Christos Antoniou, as he took a leave of absence from the band during this period. And, though someone named "Kostas" is credited as a session drummer, all drums were programmed.
Infectious but yet pummelling hooks give way to melodic interludes and then suddenly break into heavy passages with tortured, shrieked vocals; "Εσοπτρον" ("Esoptron") showcases a young Septic Flesh further honing their craft and cementing themselves among the Heavy Metal elite.

The Greek legend has finally returned from its undead slumber to unleash brooding visions of much darker times and space unto an unsuspecting world. "Communion" is the first album since the band's split up, after the release of "Sumerian Daemons" in 2003, and the first to be released under the name Septicflesh following the band's name change, known before as Septic Flesh. Septicflesh first announced a reunion show at the Metal Healing Festival in their home-country on February 19, 2007 and shortly hereafter a new full-length on French label Season of Mist.
Septicflesh have once more renewed and refined all their trademarks: on the top layer stand massive guitar-walls of Death, sometimes coming close to Blackness and often interlaced with intricate Technical string-filigree. Underlining this fierceness with haunting Gothic melodies, the band has added an epic dimension by including a full classical orchestra with more than 100 musicians, arranged by guitarist Christos Antoniou, who has a master's degree in concert music from the London College of Music. The FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague recorded the compositions with 80 instrumentalists and a choir of 32 singers.
The Extreme elements of Septic Flesh are tempered with melody and contrasted nicely by the Symphonic elements. The songwriting and arrangements are excellent. It's a great mix of tempos, intensities, and atmospheres. From the beautiful to the brutal, "Communion" covers all the musical bases, and this is one of the best albums Septicflesh has done!

"The Great Mass" is a new symphonic masterpiece that constitutes a quantum leap in the art of amalgamating orchestral music with Heavy Metal. It was recorded between July - September 2010 in Devasoundz (Greece) and The Abyss (Sweden) with renowned producer Peter Tägtgren, who created the massive sound of "The Great Mass". The orchestration was written by Christos Antoniou and recorded with the FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague, including full choir and boy soprano.
Septicflesh's new songs are the audible evidence of guitarist Christos Antoniou, finishing his studies of classical composition with academic honours and distinction. The Greeks take the next logical step to take the courses they highly successfully set on their celebrated comeback-album "Communion" (2008). "The Great Mass" shows this band at the peak of their evolution over seven full-length releases since Septic Flesh's founding in 1990, in which the band combines massive deadly guitars at the edge of Blackness, with haunting Gothic melodies and cinematic Symphonic arrangements.
The art, by the hand of Seth (vocals, bass), is a very important part of this release, the principal artwork for "The Great Mass’" is shown on the limited digipak edition, the gatefold vinyl and the dust jacket of the collector’s book.
