With two EPs and three full-length albums already under their belt, Ibridoma have been around for quite some time. Their stance is one that should be familiar to those who love the Traditional aspects of the 1980’s – locked and loaded tempos that are steady and smooth with occasionally fill and double bass flourishes, easy on the ears melodies and vocal harmonies for emphasis during the choruses, and the guitars ringing out chord and riff progressions that make consumers throw out Metal signs and head bang.
Upon listening to a snippet of "Goodbye Nation", we hear that Ibridoma are a heavier Power Metal band with a dual guitar sound and heavy drums that is closer to Thrash Metal. The songs such as “My Star” and the title cut straddle the line between conventional acts like Primal Fear or Judas Priest and then a little bit of the Sunset Strip sound from say Babylon A.D. or Junkyard. Instead of tacking on a ballad towards the conclusion of the record, “Anja” appears as track four, the lead break very understated and complementary to the back and forth clean verses and heavier bridge/chorus instrumentation. The heavier, chunky staccato riffs during “You Are A Liar” work brilliantly against the sinister, maniacal vocal parts from Christian.
On three of the nine songs on "Goodbye Nation" Ibridoma recruited guest vocalists including Rhapsody Of Fire's Fabio Lione, Primal Fear's Ralf Scheepers, and Infernal Poetry’s Paolo Ojetti!
Massive Heavy Rock with the unmistakable Christian voice that weaves light melodies as counterpoint of a granitic sound. An album that will satisfy both the old school defenders and the lovers of new sounds! “Goodbye Nation” will find a home in some record collections for sure!!

These guys have been putting out their style of music since 2001. The band's first big success was the first prize at the "Rock Around The Road" festival in 2004. After that, Ibridoma have started to work on their own material and, finally, in 2005 they released their debut EP with the title "Lady Of Darkness". This album received some solid reviews in the net and Ibridoma's future was looking bright! In 2007, guitarist Marco Vitali came on board and "Page 26", their debut album, was a fact. The band participated in many live gigs and toured with big names such as Uli Jon Roth, Richie Kotzen and Blaze Bayley among others.
The band has gone through changes over the years, but has kept the core of their sound the same throughout the years. They have a little bit of 70's Hard Rock sound with some Progressive Rock influences, and more 80’s Heavy Metal Style shining through in places. This 80's Heavy Metal sound at times mixed with some more Modern Rock elements. These guys are moving in the safe old-fashioned Metal paths with a more fresh air and, it's sure, that the final result will please most of the 'old' Metal/Hard rock fans out there. The band reminds of a lot of the Heavy Metal bands from the late 70's and 80's that have stayed together and progressed their sound to a more Modern Metal style. If you were to blend elements of old and new material from Aerosmith, Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Poison & L.A. Guns together then you'd have a decent idea of what these guys have to offer. If you’re a fan of any of these bands or bands similar from the same time period, then check these guys out!!

Italian Traditional Heavy Metal School is something different from the others, having some peculiarities that you won’t find in any other country in the entire world. The main feature that calls our attention is that the bands from the country use a great amount of weight, and they sound truly aggressive and modern. This is that case of the quintet Ibridoma, from Morrovalle, that is back with their latest album, “December”. Their musical work is based in great catchy melodies, but with the modern aggressiveness that we usually see from Judas Priest and Metal Church works, but with a clear melodic sense, and a good dose of musical accessibility (pay attention the choruses) is what make their songs sound personal and different.
The sound quality is very good, a fine work, indeed. The balance between weight, melodies and aggressiveness is almost perfect. But, looking back to their previous works, we can say that “December” is clearly the heavier album of the band, and as well, their arrangements are better than before.
The artwork of the album is a fine piece created by the Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes. The experience of playing with bands such as Sabaton and Queensryche is making the difference on “December”, and the album has two especial guests: Paul "The Beast" Di’Anno on “I’m a Bully” and Blaze Bayley on “Land of Flames”.
The quality level is high, and “December” makes our adrenaline levels run of the scales! Listen to it loud, because Ibridoma is one of the finest bands in Italy!!

Essentially, Ibridoma are as classic as Heavy Metal can possibly get. About everything non-cheesy Heavy Metal stands for is taken in on this debut release. So much that you practically get a black leather biker jacket for free when you purchase the album. It sounds pretty much exactly like everything that has ever been released in the Heavy Metal back catalogue. Ibridoma are doing it proudly according to the rules in the book of Heavy Metal. The songwriting is simple yet effective and even a little catchy. It's fairly easy to give in to Ibridoma's Heavy Metal magic, really. The guitar work is pretty hooky, but the riffs won't necessarily stick in your head for days. Though, the ease of their mid-tempo sound should make Ibridoma a reasonably popular band, not in the least in their home districts.
What Ibridoma are bringing has been done countless times before. But if your time machine has broken down and you're feeling a bit nostalgic, you should give this safe yet palatable release a try!
