It's the first Tangerine Dream album to feature Thorsten Quaeschning as a full-time member. The album also features a returning Linda Spa on saxophone. This is her first appearance on a Tangerine Dream album since "Goblins' Club" (1996). Jerome Froese makes his final appearance after joining his father in 1990 for the "Melrose" album.

Re-release the fifty-ninth album by legendary German Ambient band.
Right before TD entered the stage during their Europe gigs in 1997, spectators could hear some mellow music overlaid by some nature, animal or environment sounds. "On public demand", as stated in the booklet, this "pre-concert ambient music" has become available on the CD "Ambient Monkeys".
Ambient it is, with 12 Tangerine Dream pieces, two of which are based on classical pieces - "Symphony In A-Minor" (J.S. Bach) and "Concerto In A-Major/Adagio" (W. A. Mozart).
And yes, there are monkeys - screeching away. But, but more than monkeys, but the sounds of the rainforest - rain of leaves, animals creeping about, birds chirping… it's a soundtrack to a documentary that hasn't been made yet (though there are plenty on the subject of rainforests, of course).
You can see this as an album to get lost in - so make sure you've got your fedora, leather jacket, and a thirst for adventure, as Tangerine Dream take you on a colorful and fascinating journey!
