SHADOW REBELS "Black & White Times" /Digital LP/

The second full-length album by Israeli Progressive Alternative/Grunge/Fusion/Hard Rock band.
The first official Shadow Rebels release, “Oversleep Hurricane”, represents a new level in the band’s development. After a 4 years break, the band has assembled in a new lineup and this time they abandoned their "guitar-less" sound. Thanks to this decision, the trio’s sound became harder and tighter. Dynamic and bright Grunge abounds with interesting melodies laid upon tough guitar riffs. Filigree work of the bass guitar emphasizes the will of the band to distinguish each of the bandmates. 
It’s impossible to classify the music to any one genre and template, as the band incorporates elements of Fusion and Jazz Rock, especially in the guitar solos, as well as Alternative and Progressive Rock features. Add the unchanging tribute to the Hard Rock roots, which are especially evident in the Gillan-esque vocals. Ethnic elements find their way into the fold of a very versatile sounding album thanks to the addition of sitar and percussion. Live violins add even more expression to the ballad tracks on the album.
The album was recorded on an all analog equipment without digital computer editing, which allowed to capture the warm tube sound!

The first Single by Israeli Progressive Alternative/Post-Grunge/Fusion/Hard Rock band.
The main song, ballad “47 Minutes of Love”, had been in planes to be included in third full-length album, but it was too much different by concept and style from all rest of the songs, and band decided to release it as a Single only.
Song begins like an ethnic ballad with sounds of sitar. However, each verse going with modulation and stay heavier and heavier. Last refrain vocal line reminds best times of Robert Plant.
As a “B-side”, decided to include an early, unreleased version of "Mirror" ballad.
This version of 2013 is really rare. In that period, Michael Rosenfeld only started to reform the band, which still had no stable line-up. Moreover, here we can hear a drummer from previous line-up of Shadow Rebels. Guitars were recorded by current guitarist Rony Safaraliev. To dramatize the effect of philosophic lyrics of "Mirror", girls' choir by T. Cherniak was added together with violins of M. Rosenfeld and keyboards of Arkady Scherba.
Vocal lines of both tracks pretty much expressive, especially close to coda of the songs. Guitar solos are long and very technically developed. Riffs are heavy, and sound of rhythm section is typical for Post-Grunge.
Anyway, we can describe this release as a “Ballads Single” of Shadow Rebels.
Cover work by Eli Oskin, based on Lewis Carroll’s photography of Alice Liddell (prototype of Alice in Wonderland), sends us to "Mirror" song that was inspired by his book.

Unlike the previous release, which was recorded in a pure studio style, with many overdubs and individual recordings of the musicians, this time all the musicians entered the studio and simultaneously played all the songs one by one, in one day, on a tape recorder.
There are a lot of powerful and fast numbers, Stoner riffs, and heartfelt ballads about the fragility of life. No pathos, only self-irony, despair, reflections on the eternal: about enemies, about friends, about God and the loss of faith, about hope in times, when no place for hope. Everything is about the crazy 21st century, in which the heroes of the songs seem to be through no fault of their own. And as a result - sincere, bordering on nudity, uncompromising Post-Grunge. Deep and simple at the same time.

The second Single by Israeli Progressive Alternative/Post-Grunge/Fusion/Hard Rock band.
After the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the band decided to record a Ukrainian-language version of the song "47 Minutes of Love", in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and victims of the occupation of civilians. It is dedicated to all those who part with their loved ones and places, but hope to return and continue living where love overcomes world evil.
"47 Minutes of Love" begins as an ethnic ballad with the sounds of a sitar. However, each verse comes with modulation and becomes heavier and heavier. The vocal line of the last refrain is reminiscent of the best times of Robert Plant.

The first EP by Israeli Post-Grunge/Hard Rock band.
The EP includes first two Singles from the forthcoming fourth full-length studio album, and marks a certain turn of the band in terms of musical style. Thanks to the appearance of a new drummer, the music got rid of the complexities inherent in Progressive Rock and came closer to mainstream Hard Rock. Fast, bold, unstoppable - this is how Shadow Rebels sounds now! The melodies of the chorus will stay in your head for a while and encourage you to listen to them again and again.
The first song, "Cry!", is about eternal – relationships, hypocrisy and women's use of tears as a weapon.
The second song is about the Spirit of Water. No mysticism – simply about the meaning of life, which is impossible without water, from a small stream to the ocean.

The third Single by Israeli Post-Grunge/Hard Rock band.
It’s also the third Single from the forthcoming fourth full-length studio album of Shadow Rebels.
Originally from 2015’s “Oversleep Hurricane” album, this is a rerecorded version of the “Deepest Gloom” song. After new drummer Boris “Mahoni” Litvar joining the band, Shadow Rebels decided to change arrangements of the few of their songs, including this one.
With a depressive atmosphere in lyrics mixed with self-irony, “Deepest Gloom is a monologue of main hero, who lost everything – job, girlfriend, money and even faith. Now, this song sounding much harder and dramatic. Heavy guitar riffs, broken drum rhythm in 13/8 size on verses, guitar solo with high vocal inserts moving us in style mix of 70s Hard Rock and 90s Post-Grunge. Shadow Rebels changed recording studio as well, so we clearly can notice that more aggressive sound with much modern style mix down.

The second EP by Israeli Post-Grunge/Hard Rock band.
The EP includes next two (fourth and sixth) Singles from the forthcoming fourth full-length studio album.
The sound of the band became much tighter and harder after drummer Boris Mahony arrived. These songs demonstrate Shadow Rebels growing up as a true Hard Rock with modern sound, heavy riffs and catchy refrains.
Both of the songs are dedicated to the war. "Nobody's Land" – about war on Hamas, after the brutal attack and bloody massacre made by Gaza terrorists. This land always was a burden in the hands of countries during thousands of years of the history. "In the End of the War (Rifleman-III)" – about war in Ukraine.
