Arch Enemy are back with their trademark sonic violence and Extreme Metal execution. The debut full-length studio album by American Progressive Doom Metal band.
"Dawn Of Ages" is the result of a collaboration between two very powerful figures in their own right of the Metal scene - founding Fates Warning guitarist Victor Arduini and Argus vocalist Paul "Butch" Balich.
The story goes back in time to the end of 2013, when Arduini put a final word to his experience with Freedoms Reign. Victor needed more freedom to express his creativity, feeling his ideas weren’t much fitting into the style of Freedoms Reign anymore. If you've heard Freedoms Reign, you'll immediately understand why it was the right decision for Victor to move on.
The music on "Dawn Of Ages" has a pronounced Doom vibe, with a clear Black Sabbath influence that can be heard on the bludgeoning opening riff of "Into Exile" and the ethereal guitar work of "The Wraith." Arduini's guitar work is superb and the tone he achieves is downright menacing, though he doesn't limit the atmosphere to pure Doom, as the change to a major key at the end of "Beyond the Barricade" can attest. As for Balich, he gets to cover familiar ground, as "Dawn Of Ages" is not unlike Argus in style. He delivers an outstanding performance, as though working with different musicians has energized him. He's able to wring more emotion from his vocals, bringing the appropriate weight to the somber lyrics.
"Dawn Of Ages" is long, clocking in at just over an hour. Long albums generally annoy a listener, but "Dawn Of Ages" has such complex and at the same time engaging songwriting you'll never get bored, but maybe still the whole package is a load. An awesome load!
Fans of Black Sabbath, While Heaven Wept, Atlantean Kodex and all True/Doom Metal must check this one out!!

The fourth full-length album by the russian Folk Metal band.
It was released on October 31, 2007 through Sound Age Production and later was re-released through Napalm Records. “Ot Serdtsa K Nebu” displays Arkona’s trademark sound with a few new additions and surprises. Instrumentally, this album doesn’t differ too much from “Vo Slavo Velikim!”. Although it does have a more Progressive approach; all the trademark elements are still there. This album finds Akrona in a darker realm, which in previous albums they've only but stepped into. In places they seemed to have borrowed ideas from Doom Metal, while keeping the Pagan overtones set. Masha’s performance is nothing short of astounding. Her range is uncontested not only in Pagan Metal, but Metal alone and her aggressive side makes Angela Gossow look like Ashley Simpson. She would be unmistakable among ten thousand voices. She sings beautifully, vividly, and with unfaltering passion. She can sing soothing passages in Russian, which are just gorgeous. But she can also be ravenous with her harsh vocals where she can barely be recognized as the same person, or as being a woman.
Arkona are a truly remarkable band with character and insight. This album was difficult to digest at first, for all it eccentricities. But after you break it in, it's a great journey into dark Pagan realms. Another high quality album from Arkona!!

The second EP by Serbian Progressive/Symphonic Metal band.
Collection of band’s musical experiments, released just in time to be a special gift for Serbian Metal fans, on Sabaton’s fantastic performance at Mixer House, Belgrade, February 8, 2016. Armageddon had honour to be opening band on this show. Two hundred metal fans, which entered Mixer House, had a nice surprise - they got this CD for free!
This EP is a combination of unique live performances and some unreleased studio tapes during 2013-2015. Also, it is some kind of extension of earlier album "Eternal Mystery Rediscovered". On "Magic Star EP Live", you can hear all popular songs from "Eternal Mystery" album, in special live arrangements, which were never played before it that way.
Important thing is that song “Magic Star”, one of the first songs of the band, celebrates its 30 birthday same year. Because of that, Armageddon performed it in a very special, extended way, with complicated choruses, with intro and outro. Also, similar performance is done with the most popular band's song “Black Swan Rider”. Both songs are vocal duets performed by Milosh Krsmanovic and George Letic. All songs on this EP are recorded on Live, Proud and Deaf Metal Fest in Quarter Club, Novi Sad (2013), and Exit Fest in Novi Sad (2015). Only songs “Appearing of Hidden Star” and “Sarabanda Intro” were studio recorded, in purpose to made more mystical atmosphere of project. Also, all songs are re-mastered and post-produced with additional vocals and keyboards played by George Letic.
