This is the second DVD of Helloween. Recorded in Milan, Italy 21st May, and Pamplona and Girona, Spain on 31st May and 1st June 1996, "High Live" is definitely not a new release, but the fact that it has been re-issued in DVD format is worthy attention.
Helloween’s Time of the Oath Tour "High Live" captures the band at its best, live. They run through a set-list that is heavy on the Andi Deris era, with only four out of the sixteen songs from the Kiske years. Andi handles the daunting task of pulling off the old fan favorites really good. It’s amazing to see and hear the crowd sing at the top of their lungs that intro verse to the song, its just awe inspiring. Speaking of Andi he is excellent as a frontman he keeps the crowd going and looks like he’s having a blast on stage. He is constantly giving it his all and moves around a lot with a vide variety of singing poses, instead of just standing still and whatnot. Weiki’s just chilling off to the side smoking a lot of cigarettes while Markus and the now departed Roland are smiling a lot too and look like they are definitely enjoying themselves. Roland even does some lead singing in "Steel Tormentor" and has a vocal solo spot before "Mr. Ego". The camerawork is satisfactory as well; it has good angles, clear shots and has a bunch of split views of say Weiki’s fingers when he’s busting out a solo and Markus headbanging. For the guitarists out there you can be happy because there’s many close ups of either Roland or Weiki’s fingers and fret positions during the solos.
For Helloween fans this is a worthy purchase to add to your collection. It has the band performing some awesome songs live and it is on a much better format than VHS. This also comes in 5.1 surround sound for avid DVD-heads out there to put you in the middle of the action! For many of us this is as close as we’ll get to experiencing the magic of Helloween live especially now that Roland and Uli are out of the band and they are trying to steer away from the songs that those two wrote, which is a shame...

Old school thrash is what Hirax is all about. “The New Age of Terror” should bring you back to the eighties during the time when the Bay area Thrash sound had just started to escalate. Fast, aggressive Metal riffs cover the album, and should get any fan of Thrash an awaking. This Thrash attack has so many enticing riffs the crowd has to go insane in the mosh pits during their shows. The leads get you right into each song and if that still didn’t entice your ears, there are solos that dance all over this album. If you haven’t heard Katon W. De Pena sing before, he has a similar vocal style and power of Paul Baloff of Exodus. That’s probably the only one even close to his style. All of this CD’s elements are Thrash…eleven tracks and a little bit over thirty-seven minutes worth.
"The New Age Of Terror" is a pure, glorious, just-about perfect Thrash album that sounds like it could have been written in the genre's golden era, yet does not sound dated. The songs are catchy and heavy, with a fine balance of groove and speed. Pummeling, epic-power Thrash-attack only Hirax can deliver, this thing just plain kills. Make no comparisons, but it feels like listening to the first Slayer LP for the first time! All the false money makers are dead and gone, and the old demons are here again to rule the world!! Overkill, Testament, Exodus and now Hirax are among the most important. Eleven tracks of the best possible Thrash, powerful and straight to the point, with great and fast guitar leads, not far from Exodus' music, and probably the best Thrash record of the year!!! Killer!!!!

The film follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour between February and March 2008, which took them 50000 miles round the planet playing 23 concerts on five continents in just 45 days. One of the stars of the movie is the band's customized Boeing 757, Ed Force One, which carried the band, all their crew, 12 tons of stage equipment and was piloted by Airline Captain and singer Bruce Dickinson. The movie gives a close up behind the scenes look at what happened on and off stage, when Maiden gave full access to a film crew for the first time ever, and contains some of the most spectacular live footage yet seen of Maiden. If you want to know what it is like to be part of the most adventurous tour in Rock history, you can't miss seeing this. Taking you from Mumbai to Santiago, LA to Sydney, Tokyo to Sao Paulo and all points between, through exhaustion and fan pandemonium, travelling with band and crew on the plane, to and from shows, in the bar and during leisure time, this really is Access All Areas!!
The special bonus disc contains the full set of 16 songs recorded from 16 different cities to give you the full experience of the live power of Iron Maiden and their fans all around globe.
It was shot in high-definition video with accompanying 5.1 surround sound produced by Kevin Shirley (who has worked with the band since their 2000 album “Brave New World”).

DVD features the first part of "The History Of Iron Maiden" series, a 90 minute documentary which describes band's beginnings in London's East End in 1975 through to the "Piece Of Mind" album and tour in 1983. The second part of the series was included on disc 2 of the "Live After Death" DVD release in 2008.
The set also features a large collection of rare videos and concert footage, as well as interviews with former members such as Paul Di'Anno, Clive Burr, Dennis Stratton, Dave Sullivan, Terry Rance, Doug Sampson, Ron Matthews, Terry Wapram and Bob Sawyer.
The DVD won a 2004 Metal Edge Readers' Choice Award for Home Video/DVD of the Year.
