The ninth full-length studio album by legendary American Pop singer.
The album, produced by Madonna and Mirwais Ahmadzaï, features references to many parts of American culture. It is a concept album, with themes of the American Dream and materialism. These themes reject the reputation Madonna held in the 1980s, earned by songs such as her worldwide hit "Material Girl" (1985).
The album contains Folk and Folktronica music, as well as influences of acoustic music.
"American Life" initially received mixed reviews; critics found the record confusing and "about Madonna". Retrospective reviews have been much warmer, with critics noting the album's consistency as well as acknowledging Madonna taking a risk musically.
After its release, "American Life" debuted at number one on the United States Billboard 200 chart with 241,000 copies sold in its first week. The sales were less than Madonna's previous studio album, "Music", which debuted with 420,000 copies in 2000, but was the only one that week to sell over 200,000 copies. It was Madonna's second consecutive number one debut, and her fifth number one album overall in the US.
In Canada, the album debuted at the top of the Canadian Albums Chart with sales of 18,000 copies on May 10, 2003. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the sum was considerably less than her previous studio efforts, "Ray Of Light" (1998) and "Music" (2000), which debuted with 59,000 and 50,000 copies respectively.
In the United Kingdom, "American Life" debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, with sales of 65,013 copies, much less than the opening sum of 2000's "Music", which debuted with sales of 151,891 copies. It was present for a total of 19 weeks on the chart, ranking at number 52 on the UK year-end tally.
The album peaked at number one in fourteen countries. In European countries, the album topped the charts in Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Belgium (Wallonia), Denmark, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and British Phonographic Industry (BPI) both certified it Platinum in recognition of 1,000,000 shipments in the United States, and 300,000 shipments in the United Kingdom, respectively. It gained a Platinum certification one month later from the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA), for shipment of 100,000 copies of the album. In Japan, the album peaked at number four on the Oricon Weekly Albums chart remaining there for 13 weeks, and went on to gain a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) that same year, for shipping 100,000 copies of the release. In Australia the album peaked at number three, before descending rapidly down the ARIA Albums Chart. Nevertheless, it gained a Platinum certification from the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for shipping 70,000 copies. The album also gained Platinum certifications in countries such as France, Russia, and Switzerland, and Gold certifications in Brazil, Greece, and the Netherlands.
Overall, "American Life" became the 32nd best-selling album of 2003, with 5,000,000 copies sold worldwide. "American Life" garnered two nominations at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004. However, it became the third lowest selling studio album by Madonna behind her 2012 release "MDNA" and her 2015 release "Rebel Heart", with sales of 680,000 copies as of October 2012, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
This double LP issued in a matte gatefold sleeve with generic die-cut inner sleeves with rounded corners. Although correctly spelled on the label, "Nothing Fails" is misspelled as "Nothing Falls" on the sleeve.

The eighth full-length studio album by legendary American Pop singer.
Following the success of her previous album "Ray Of Light" (1998), Madonna intended to embark on a tour. However, her record company encouraged her to return to the studio and record new music before going on the road. Her collaboration with producers Mirwais Ahmadzaï and William Orbit resulted a more experimental direction for the album. "Music" has an overall Dance-Pop and Electronica vibe, with influences from Rock, Country and Folk. Elaborating a Country theme for the album, Madonna reinvented her image as a cowgirl.
Filled with vocoders, stylish Neo-Electro beats, dalliances with Trip-Hop, and, occasionally, eerie synthesized atmospherics, "Music" blows by in a kaleidoscopic rush of color, technique, style, and substance. It has so many layers that it's easily as self-aware and earnest as "Ray Of Light", where Madonna's studiousness complemented a record heavy on spirituality and reflection. Here, she mines that territory occasionally, especially as the record winds toward its conclusion, but she applies her new tricks toward celebrations of music itself. That's not only true of the full-throttle dance numbers but also for ballads like "I Deserve It" and "Nobody's Perfect", where the sentiments are couched in Electronic effects and lolling, rolling beats. Ultimately, that results in the least introspective or revealing record Madonna has made since "Like A Prayer", yet that doesn't mean she doesn't invest herself in the record. Working with a stable of producers, she has created an album that is her most explicitly musical and restlessly creative since, "Like A Prayer". Whenever she works with Mirwais, Music truly comes alive with the spark and style.
The album was supported by the Drowned World Tour, which grossed over $75.000.000, making it the highest-grossing tour by a solo act of 2001 (the fourth overall).
Three singles were released from the album. Its lead single, "Music", topped the record charts in 25 countries worldwide and became Madonna's 12th number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was followed with another Hot 100 top-five hit "Don't Tell Me" and "What It Feels Like for a Girl" which attained the top-ten position in several countries worldwide. "MDNA" was Madonna's first release under the 360 deal she had signed with Live Nation in 2007 and the three-album deal with Interscope in 2012. 
A Pop and Electronic Dance Music (EDM) record, "MDNA" consists of upbeat songs which lyrically explore themes of partying, love for music, infatuation, as well as heartbreak, revenge and separation. The album's title is a triple entendre and its allusion to "MDMA" drew negative reception from anti-drug groups.
Music critics were ambivalent towards the album. They praised Orbit's production and the ballads, but criticized the lyrics as well as Madonna for being regressive with her music. "MDNA" topped the record charts in most musical markets. Madonna set a new record for the most number-one albums by a solo artist in Australia and the United Kingdom. The first greatest hits album by legendary American Pop singer.
Originally released on November 9, 1990, it contains new remixes of fifteen of her hit Singles from 1983 to 1990, as well as two new songs. Its title is a loose pun on the Immaculate Conception, the conception of the Virgin Mary without the stain of original sin.
An EP titled "The Holiday Collection" was released in Europe to accompany the compilation and the re-release of "Holiday", which included three hits not included on the main compilation.
"Justify My Love", the album's lead single, became Madonna's ninth number-one Single on the Billboard Hot 100. Its music video included sexual themes and was banned by MTV, becoming one of Madonna's most controversial Singles. "Rescue Me" was released as the second Single and became the highest-debuting single on the Hot 100 by a female artist at that time, entering the chart at number 15 and eventually peaking at number nine. "Holiday" was reissued in Europe as the album's third Single and peaked at nine on the UK Singles Chart.
On November 24, 1990, "The Immaculate Collection" debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, remaining there for nine weeks, becoming the biggest selling UK album in 1990, also breaking the record for the longest consecutive weeks at number one by a solo female artist, a record that would not be matched until 2011 by Adele's album "21".
In the United States, "The Immaculate Collection" reached number two on the Billboard 200, while topping the album charts in the United Kingdom. It became Madonna's second album to be certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of over 10,000,000 copies in the United States. Limited edition re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Pop singer.
After having established herself as a singer in downtown New York City, Madonna was signed by Sire Records' president Seymour Stein, due to the club success of her debut Single, "Everybody" (1982). She became the sole writer for most of the album's tracks, and chose Reggie Lucas as its primary producer. Unhappy with Lucas's production outputs, Madonna invited John "Jellybean" Benitez to complete the album, who remixed three tracks and produced "Holiday".

A stylistic and aesthetical departure from her previous work, "Ray Of Light" is an electronica and Techno-Pop record, which incorporates multiple genres, including Ambient, Trip Hop, Psychedelic and Middle Eastern music, while also seeing Madonna singing with greater breadth and a fuller tone. On this album, Madonna collaborated with Dallas Austin, Babyface, Dave "Jam" Hall, and Nellee Hooper, deciding to move into a more R&B direction. Madonna used this direction in a bid to soften her image following the critical and commercial backlash she faced after releasing several sexually explicit projects in the previous two years, notably the "Erotica" album and the "Sex" book. The huge success of the soundtrack single "I'll Remember" earlier that year marked the beginning of this transformation, and Madonna used "Bedtime Stories" to continue it.
A Pop, R&B and Hip Hop album, "Bedtime Stories" explores lyrical themes of love, sorrow and romance, but with a toned-down, less sexual approach. Critics described the album as "autobiographical", as the song "Human Nature" addresses the controversy surrounding her previous projects. Madonna also worked with Icelandic singer Björk on the track "Bedtime Story", as she wanted to explore the British club musical scene, where genres such as Dub had been growing in popularity.

Madonna started working on the album in early 2007, and collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, the Neptunes and Nate "Danja" Hills. The Pet Shop Boys were also asked to collaborate with Madonna on the album by Warner Bros., but the record company later changed their mind and withdrew their invitation.
After its release, "Hard Candy" debuted at number one in 37 countries worldwide, including the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain and the United Kingdom and became the eleventh best-selling album worldwide of 2008, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. The album has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, "Hard Candy" sold 100,000 copies in the United States upon its first day of release. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with over 280,000 copies sold. "Hard Candy" became Madonna's seventh number-one album, making her the female artist with the second most Billboard number one albums, behind only Barbra Streisand.
The album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 4, 2008, for shipments of 500,000 copies in the United States. As of December 2016, "Hard Candy" has sold 751,000 copies.

The eighth full-length studio album by legendary American Pop singer.
Following the success of her previous album "Ray Of Light" (1998), Madonna intended to embark on a tour. However, her record company encouraged her to return to the studio and record new music before going on the road. Her collaboration with producers Mirwais Ahmadzaï and William Orbit resulted a more experimental direction for the album. "Music" has an overall Dance-Pop and Electronica vibe, with influences from Rock, Country and Folk. Elaborating a Country theme for the album, Madonna reinvented her image as a cowgirl.
Filled with vocoders, stylish Neo-Electro beats, dalliances with Trip-Hop, and, occasionally, eerie synthesized atmospherics, "Music" blows by in a kaleidoscopic rush of color, technique, style, and substance. It has so many layers that it's easily as self-aware and earnest as "Ray Of Light", where Madonna's studiousness complemented a record heavy on spirituality and reflection. Here, she mines that territory occasionally, especially as the record winds toward its conclusion, but she applies her new tricks toward celebrations of music itself. That's not only true of the full-throttle dance numbers but also for ballads like "I Deserve It" and "Nobody's Perfect", where the sentiments are couched in Electronic effects and lolling, rolling beats. Ultimately, that results in the least introspective or revealing record Madonna has made since "Like A Prayer", yet that doesn't mean she doesn't invest herself in the record. Working with a stable of producers, she has created an album that is her most explicitly musical and restlessly creative since, "Like A Prayer". Whenever she works with Mirwais, Music truly comes alive with the spark and style.
The album was supported by the Drowned World Tour, which grossed over $75.000.000, making it the highest-grossing tour by a solo act of 2001 (the fourth overall).
Three singles were released from the album. Its lead single, "Music", topped the record charts in 25 countries worldwide and became Madonna's 12th number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was followed with another Hot 100 top-five hit "Don't Tell Me" and "What It Feels Like for a Girl" which attained the top-ten position in several countries worldwide. "Impressive Instant" was released as promotional single, peaking at number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
"Music" was generally acclaimed by most critics and earned Madonna five Grammy Award nominations, ultimately winning one for Best Recording Package. "Music" debuted at number-one in 23 countries. It was also a commercial success. The album set a record in Warner Music Group as the biggest album shipment in the company, with three million copies worldwide in the first week. 
In the United States, "Music" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 420.000 units, making it Madonna's first album to top the chart in more than a decade since "Like A Prayer" (1989). On November 21, 2005, the album was certified three times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for 3.000.000 units shipped in the United States. As of August 2010, "Music" has sold 2.925.000 copies there according to Nielsen SoundScan and has sold over 11.000.000 copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling albums during the 2000s century.

The first album of Madonna's career to bear Parental Advisory label, "Erotica" was banned in several Asian countries, such as China and Singapore. The album was released simultaneously with Madonna's first book publication "Sex", a coffee table book containing explicit photographs featuring the singer, and marked her first release under Maverick, her own multimedia entertainment company.
Ten years after signing her first recording contract with Sire Records, Madonna founded her own multimedia entertainment company, Maverick, consisting of a record company (Maverick Records), a film production company (Maverick Films), and associated music publishing, television broadcasting, book publishing and merchandising divisions. The deal was a joint venture with Time Warner and paid Madonna an advance of $60 million. It gave her 20% royalties from the music proceedings, one of the highest rates in the industry, equalled at that time only by Michael Jackson's royalty rate established a year earlier with Sony. She stated: "It started as a desire to have more control. There's a group of writers, photographers, directors and editors that I've met along the way in my career who I want to take with me everywhere I go. I want to incorporate them into my little factory of ideas. I also come in contact with a lot of young talent that I feel entrepreneurial about". The first two projects from the venture were her fifth studio album, "Erotica", and a coffee table book of photographs featuring Madonna, entitled "Sex".
"Erotica" is a concept album about sex and romance, incorporating her alter ego "Mistress Dita", inspired by actress Dita Parlo. Some of its songs also take on a more confessional tone, influenced by the loss of two of Madonna's close friends to AIDS.
Musically, the album mixes Dance, Electronica, Hip Hop, Deep House, Ambient Techno and R&B, and incorporates elements from classic Disco, modern House, Techno and New Jack Swing.
Commercially, the album was less successful than Madonna's previous albums, peaking at number 2 on the US Billboard 200, becoming her first studio album not to top the chart since her debut. Internationally, it topped the charts in Australia, Finland, and France, and peaked within the top five of several other countries such as Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Many critics have since noted the album's influence on the works by female artists such as Janet Jackson and Beyoncé.

“Confessions On A Dance Floor” is a complete departure from previous studio album "American Life" (2003). The album includes influences of 1970s and 1980s Disco, as well as modern-day club music. Musically, the album is structured like a DJ's set. The songs are sequenced and blended together so that they are played continuously without any gaps. The title arrived from the fact that the album track listing consists of light-hearted and happy songs in the beginning, and progresses to much darker melodies and lyrics describing personal feelings and commitments. Songs on the album sample and reference the music of other dance-oriented artists like ABBA, Donna Summer, Pet Shop Boys, the Bee Gees and Depeche Mode, as well as Madonna's 1980s output.
Four singles were released from the album. "Hung Up", the lead single, topped the charts in a total of 41 countries. According to Billboard, it was the most successful dance song of the decade. It was followed by "Sorry" which became Madonna's twelfth number-one single in the United Kingdom. "Get Together" and "Jump" were released as the third and fourth singles respectively, both becoming top-ten hits in several countries.
With the "Confessions On A Dance Floor" era, Madonna broke several world records and the album resuscitated her music sales and popularity, after the critical and commercial disappointment of "American Life". After having established herself as a singer in downtown New York City, Madonna was signed by Sire Records' president Seymour Stein, due to the club success of her debut Single, "Everybody" (1982). She became the sole writer for most of the album's tracks, and chose Reggie Lucas as its primary producer. Unhappy with Lucas's production outputs, Madonna invited John "Jellybean" Benitez to complete the album, who remixed three tracks and produced "Holiday".

"Something To Remember" compiling a selection of the singer's ballads, spanning over a decade of her career, including a remixed version of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" and three new songs: "You'll See", "One More Chance" and a cover of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You", recorded with the British Trip-Hop band Massive Attack. Following the success of her previous album "Ray Of Light" (1998), Madonna intended to embark on a tour. However, her record company encouraged her to return to the studio and record new music before going on the road. Her collaboration with producers Mirwais Ahmadzaï and William Orbit resulted a more experimental direction for the album. "Music" has an overall Dance-Pop and Electronica vibe, with influences from Rock, Country and Folk. Elaborating a Country theme for the album, Madonna reinvented her image as a cowgirl.
Filled with vocoders, stylish Neo-Electro beats, dalliances with Trip-Hop, and, occasionally, eerie synthesized atmospherics, "Music" blows by in a kaleidoscopic rush of color, technique, style, and substance. It has so many layers that it's easily as self-aware and earnest as "Ray Of Light", where Madonna's studiousness complemented a record heavy on spirituality and reflection. Here, she mines that territory occasionally, especially as the record winds toward its conclusion, but she applies her new tricks toward celebrations of music itself. That's not only true of the full-throttle dance numbers but also for ballads like "I Deserve It" and "Nobody's Perfect", where the sentiments are couched in Electronic effects and lolling, rolling beats. Ultimately, that results in the least introspective or revealing record Madonna has made since "Like A Prayer", yet that doesn't mean she doesn't invest herself in the record. Working with a stable of producers, she has created an album that is her most explicitly musical and restlessly creative since, "Like A Prayer". Whenever she works with Mirwais, Music truly comes alive with the spark and style.
The album was supported by the Drowned World Tour, which grossed over $75.000.000, making it the highest-grossing tour by a solo act of 2001 (the fourth overall).
Three singles were released from the album. Its lead single, "Music", topped the record charts in 25 countries worldwide and became Madonna's 12th number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was followed with another Hot 100 top-five hit "Don't Tell Me" and "What It Feels Like for a Girl" which attained the top-ten position in several countries worldwide. "Impressive Instant" was released as promotional single, peaking at number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.

The album contains accompany songs to the film "Dick Tracy". It includes three songs written by Stephen Sondheim, which were used in the film, in addition to several songs co-written by Madonna that were inspired by but not included in the film. Madonna starred as Breathless Mahoney alongside her then-boyfriend Warren Beatty who played the title role, Dick Tracy. After filming was complete, Madonna began work on the album, with Sondheim, producer Patrick Leonard and engineer Bill Bottrell. She also worked with producer Shep Pettibone on the album's first single, "Vogue". The album was recorded in three weeks, at Johnny Yuma Recording and Ocean Way Studios, in Los Angeles, California.
Musically, I'm Breathless consists predominantly of Jazz, Swing and Pop songs. The tracks reflected Madonna's showgirl personality and were influenced by her relationship with Beatty. The singer wanted to create music that would fit the style and production of the film, set in the days of the Untouchables law enforcement, and sang the songs accordingly. In some areas she pitched her vocals and belted the notes when necessary. She smoked cigarettes in order to portray the vocals of her character Breathless. Beatty and singer Mandy Patinkin were featured as duet partners on three of the songs.
"Vogue", the first Single from "I'm Breathless", became one of Madonna's most successful releases, reaching number one in over 30 countries. It was also critically acclaimed and was seen as an influential song, while the video helped to bring vogueing into mainstream popularity. The second and final Single, "Hanky Panky", was a top-ten hit in the United States and the United Kingdom.

After having established herself as a singer in downtown New York City, Madonna was signed by Sire Records' president Seymour Stein, due to the club success of her debut Single, "Everybody" (1982). In the 1980s, remixing was still a new concept. The mixes on "You Can Dance" exhibited a number of typical mixing techniques. Instrumental passages were lengthened to increase the time for dancing and vocal phrases were repeated and subjected to multiple echoes. The album cover denoted Madonna's continuous fascination with Hispanic culture.
After its release, "You Can Dance" received generally positive reviews from critics, some of whom noted how the already known songs appeared to them in a complete new structure, calling it an essential album to be played at parties. The label wanted to release "Lucky Star" as a stand-alone single, but changed their mind after "Holiday" began receiving heavy radio play and reached the first spot of Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart.
Initial pressings didn't feature an image of the singer on the cover – this was an intentional move from the record company, as they wanted to play with that idea and didn't want the public to find out Madonna wasn't black.
For its initial 1983 release, "Holiday" was backed with "I Know It", "Think of Me", or "Lucky Star", depending on the territory and format. 
In the United States, "Holiday" it was considered Madonna's breakthrough, peaking at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, and reaching number one on the Dance Club Songs chart. It found success outside North America as well, reaching the top-ten in Australia, Belgium, Germany and Ireland, among others.

The second Single from the fourth full-length studio album, “Like A Prayer”, by legendary American Pop singer.
The Single was released on May 9, 1989, with "The Look of Love" on its B-side, from the 1987 film soundtrack "Who's That Girl".
When Madonna started work on "Like A Prayer", she considered many options, and thought about the musical direction for it. She had certain matters on her mind, including her troubled relationship with her husband Sean Penn, her family, her lost mother and even her belief in God. Madonna thought about lyrical ideas for the songs on topics that, until then, were personal meditation, never to be shared with her public so openly and pointedly. She came to the realization that as she and her fans were growing up, and it was time for her to move away from the teen appeal to wider audiences, and en-cash on the longevity of the album market. Madonna wanted her new sound to be calculative and indicative of what was fashionable, and ride the changing trend of music.
"Express Yourself" was the first song that Madonna and co-producer Stephen Bray collaborated on for "Like A Prayer". Written and produced by them, the song was a tribute to American Funk and Soul band Sly & The Family Stone. The main inspiration behind the song is female empowerment, urging women never to go for second-best and to urge their partners to express their inner feelings. 
The accompanying music video, directed by David Fincher, was inspired by the Fritz Lang classic film Metropolis (1927). It had a total budget of $5 million ($12.29 million in 2023 dollars), which made it the most expensive music video made up to then, and currently the third most expensive of all time.
Commercially, the song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Madonna's eighth number-one hit on the European Hot 100 Singles chart. It also reached the top of the Singles charts in Canada and Switzerland, and the top five elsewhere. "Express Yourself" was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in August 1989, for shipment of 500 000 copies of the Single across the United States. In Canada, the song debuted at number 82 on the RPM Singles Chart and reached the top in its ninth week. It was present on the chart for 17 weeks and was the eighth best-selling Canadian Single for 1989. In Australia, "Express Yourself" was certified Gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for shipment of 35 000 copies of the Single. At the year-end charts of ARIA, "Express Yourself" was the 28th best-selling Australian Single of 1989. In the United Kingdom, "Express Yourself" was certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), for shipment of 200 000 copies of the Single.

Madonna had hits with her first album, even reaching the Top Ten twice with "Borderline" and "Lucky Star", but she didn't become a superstar, an icon, until her second album, "Like a Virgin". Following the success of her self-titled debut album, Madonna wanted to become the record producer of her next album. However, her label was not ready to give her the artistic freedom to produce the album, and she chose Nile Rodgers, former Chic guitarist (due to his work with David Bowie), to help her expand her sound, and then carefully constructed her image as an ironic, ferociously sexy "Boy Toy". Madonna wrote six songs on the record, five of which feature Steve Bray as a co-writer.
While not a substantial musical departure from Madonna's first album, she felt that the material from "Like A Virgin" was stronger. After its release, "Like A Virgin" received mixed reviews from music critics, but was a commercial success. It became Madonna's first number one album on the Billboard 200 and set the record as the first female album in history to sell over five million copies in the United States. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) later certified it Diamond for shipment of ten million units. It also reached number one in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain and the United Kingdom, and remains one of the best-selling albums of all time with sales of over 21 million copies worldwide!

The fifth Single from the second full-length studio album, “Like A Virgin”, by legendary American Pop singer.
Written and produced by both, Madonna and Stephen Bray, featured on the 1985 film "Desperately Seeking Susan", the main inspiration behind the song was the dance floor; the singer wrote it while watching a Latin American man to whom she was attracted. Its instrumentation features synthesizers and drum machines, with Madonna's voice being double tracked on the chorus. Sexual innuendos and undertones are present throughout the lyrics, which are written as an invitation to dance with the singer. Originally written for her friend Mark Kamins, Madonna later decided to use it on the film, as one of the scenes needed a dance song.
Due to contractual label reasons, "Into the Groove" was not included on the official "Desperately Seeking Susan" soundtrack, but was instead added to the 1985 international (non-US) re-issues of Madonna's second studio album, "Like a Virgin" (1984).
Warner Bros. Records did not officially release "Into the Groove" as a commercial Single in the United States, making it ineligible to enter the Billboard Hot 100. It was only released as the B-side to the 12" Maxi-Single "Angel", the third official Single from "Like A Virgin" album, and reached the first spot of Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.
In the United Kingdom, "Into The Groove" was released on July 15, 1985 and became Madonna's first number one hit and remains her best-selling Single. It debuted at number 4 on the UK Singles Chart on July 27, becoming the highest debuting Single for any female artist in the chart's history at the time. It peaked at number one the week of August 3 and remained there for four weeks (it spent 14 weeks on the chart overall). During its stay at number one, the re-release of "Holiday" reached the chart's second spot, thus Madonna became the first female artist in UK chart history to hold the top two positions simultaneously. "Into The Groove" was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipment of 500 000 copies. It was the year's third most successful Single, behind Jennifer Rush's "The Power of Love", and Elaine Paige's and Barbara Dickson's "I Know Him So Well". With sales of over 957 000 copies, including physical, downloads and streaming, "Into The Groove" is Madonna's best-selling Single in the United Kingdom as of August 2018.
It was also successful throughout Europe, topping the charts in Austria, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands. Critically acclaimed since its release, "Into the Groove" was voted the best Dance Single from the 1980s decade in a Billboard poll, and has been cited by multiple publications as Madonna's best Single.
No official music video was shot for "Into the Groove". Instead, a clip consisting of compiled scenes and footage from "Desperately Seeking Susan" (the lyrics matching the images and scenes) was put together by Doug Dowdle from Parallax Productions, a company that specialized in movie-related music videos during the 1980s. It was added to MTV on the week of March 30, 1985.

Thematically, "Rebel Heart" represents the singer's romantic and rebellious sides; the ideas grew organically during the writing and recording sessions. Musically, it is a Pop record, which merges an array of genres such as 1990s House, Trap, and Reggae, while using acoustic guitars and a gospel choir. Some of the songs are autobiographical in nature, while others talk about love and Madonna's career.
"Rebel Heart" features guest appearances by boxer Mike Tyson and rappers Nicki Minaj, Nas and Chance the Rapper. Unlike her previous endeavors, working with many collaborators posed problems for Madonna in keeping a cohesive sound and creative direction for the album.

The album was creatively influenced by Madonna's expatriate life in Lisbon, Portugal, after relocating there in summer 2017. 
Madonna co-wrote and co-produced the album with a number of musicians, including Mirwais, Mike Dean, and Jason Evigan. It also features guest appearances by Maluma, Quavo, Swae Lee, and Anitta.
All four Singles of the album ("Medellín", "Crave", "I Rise" and "I Don't Search I Find") reached the top spot on the Dance Club Songs in the United States, extending Madonna's record as the artist with the most number-one songs on a singular Billboard chart, with a total of 50. In February 2022, almost three years after its release, the album was certified Silver in the UK.
Madonna has had to endure a lot in her career, and "Madame X" shows us she’s still strong, empowered and never going to stop. "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones" spans her entire dance club chart reign, with dozens of remixes by the world’s top producers. In addition to fan favourites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut.
Boasting more than 220 minutes of remixes, "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones" flows in mostly chronological order, showcasing the many musical reinventions that made Madonna an international icon, from 1983’s “Holiday” to 2019’s “I Don’t Search I Find,” with remixes by some of the biggest and most influential DJs of all time including Shep Pettibone, William Orbit, Honey Dijon, and Avicii.

The album entered at number eight on the Billboard 200, with 30 000 album-equivalent units. It became the top-selling album of the week, with pure sales of 28 000 units, consisting of 23 000 physical and 5,000 digital copies. In doing so, Madonna became the first woman with a Top Ten Album in each of the last five decades, from the 1980s to the 2020s; among women only Barbra Streisand has Top Ten Albums in most decades, with six (1960s–2010s).
"Finally Enough Love" is the first remix album to reach the Top Ten on the Billboard 200 since 2014, and the highest-charting Electronic/Dance remix album since 2010. Additionally, the album topped the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums, and Billboard 200's component's Top Current Album Sales as well Vinyl Albums, with 12 000 copies on vinyl, making it Madonna's largest sales week for a vinyl album since Luminate Data began tracking sales in 1991. The pre-sales of the vinyl format of "Finally Enough Love" sold out in less than 48 hours. The album entered at number eight on the Billboard 200, with 30 000 album-equivalent units. It became the top-selling album of the week, with pure sales of 28 000 units, consisting of 23 000 physical and 5,000 digital copies. In doing so, Madonna became the first woman with a Top Ten Album in each of the last five decades, from the 1980s to the 2020s; among women only Barbra Streisand has Top Ten Albums in most decades, with six (1960s–2010s).
"Finally Enough Love" is the first remix album to reach the Top Ten on the Billboard 200 since 2014, and the highest-charting Electronic/Dance remix album since 2010. Additionally, the album topped the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums, and Billboard 200's component's Top Current Album Sales as well Vinyl Albums, with 12 000 copies on vinyl, making it Madonna's largest sales week for a vinyl album since Luminate Data began tracking sales in 1991. As of April 2023, the compilation had sold 25 000 vinyls in the US.
Finally, "Enough Love" debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart dated August 29, 2022, making it Madonna's 12th Number One Album in Australia. She broke her tie with U2 and Eminem to become the second act with the most chart-topping albums in Australia, behind the Beatles and Jimmy Barnes, each having 14 number ones. Madonna also became the first ever woman to have a Number One Album in five different decades in Australia.
The compilation also debuted at number two in several European countries, including Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland, while topping the charts in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Portugal, as well as the Croatian International album chart.

For the first time on vinyl, the fifth live album by legendary American Pop singer.
The album chronicle Madonna's tenth worldwide concert tour of the same name, recorded at the Sydney SuperDome. It was released on September 15, 2017 by Eagle Vision on DVD and Blu-ray formats and by Eagle Records for audio versions. "Rebel Heart Tour" reached the top of the DVD and video charts in most of the countries it charted in.
In the United Kingdom, "Rebel Heart Tour" debuted at number 42 on the UK Albums Chart. In the United States, "Rebel Heart Tour" failed to chart on the Billboard 200, but reached numbers 20 and 45 on the Digital Album and Top Album Sales charts for one week each, respectively. The album also reached number two on the Top Music Video chart, being kept from the pole position by Alan Jackson's "Precious Memories: Live at the Ryman" (2009). 
"Rebel Heart Tour" reached number one in Mexico, and placed at number 69 on the year-end chart. In France, the live album peaked at number 20 on the French Albums Chart, while the video versions topped the French DVD Charts. The Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP) certified the video Platinum for selling over 15 000 units.
Across the rest of Europe, the album reached the top ten of the charts in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. At the 32nd Japan Gold Disc Award, "Rebel Heart Tour" won in the category of Best Music Video for Western Artists.
