WYVERN “The Red Flame Of Pain” /CD/

The only compilation album by cult Italian Heavy/Power/Speed Metal band.
The history of winged dragon starts back in the cold winter of 1985, in a lonesome rehearsal room somewhere in the logs of northern Italy, fully packed with the Heavy Metal posters and pictures.
In their first years, the band recorded two demo tapes, the former just called "Wyvern", and sporting some strong NWOBHM influences, the latter called "Back To The Ancient Rage" already showing first seeds of Power/Speed Metal.
This compilation features remastered tracks of both demos:
track 1-7: "Back to the Ancient Rage" Demo 1988 (remastered);
track 8-11: "Wyvern" Demo 1987 (remastered).
The cover artwork is plagiarized from Ciruelo Cabral "Dark Dsurion" painting.

Wyvern finally follows up their cult 1990 debut, "The Red Flame of Pain", with "Lords Of Winter". Recorded between 1998 and 2002, and only finding official release in 2010, the album sounds as timeless and trend-free as all true Heavy/Power Metal should.
A must for all fans of fantasy-themed Euro-Metal!
