The second compilation album by legendary Swedish Gothic Doom Metal band.
"Commandments" is heavily recommended to those who have never heard of Tiamat before, or who don't know Tiamat so well, but it's even suggested to every Tiamat fan, who likes to have a great container of some of their best songs taken from all their discography.
The album is produced by the American Century Media, recently abandoned by Tiamat, that shifted to German Nuclear Blast, and it presents a great sound quality of all remastered tracks, even for what concerns the first "raw" songs of Tiamat. It’s the last Tiamat release with Century Media Records.

The second re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary Swedish Atmospheric Death/Doom Metal band.
"Clouds" was another major step in the quick sonic evolution of Tiamat, as the band continued to scale back their Death Metal roots while pursuing more conventional song structures. The album is still predominately fixated in the Death/Doom Metal genre.
Instrumentally, “Clouds” combine delicate acoustic guitars with crushing riffs and atmospheric keyboards. Johan Edlund's voice mixes death growls with a clean, Gothic moaning-type voice. Songwriting contributions from new bassist Johnny Hagel take some of the load off vocalist Johan Edlund, whose improving English-speaking skills and raspy but clear intonations finally let listeners appreciate his esoteric lyrics.
Every song on "Clouds" is distinct in its own way, but it doesn't get much better than "In a Dream" and "The Sleeping Beauty", both of which combine delicate acoustic guitars with crushing riffs and atmospheric keyboards. These same elements are mixed and matched in surprising fashion on "Smell of Incense", "The Scapegoat", and "Forever Burning Flames". The epic "Undressed" closes the album with similar inventiveness and points toward the future.
"Clouds" was only the first step for Tiamat into Gothic Metal/Rock. The band is best remembered for the "Clouds" and "Wildhoney" albums, which are more widespread and Psychedelic/Progressive influenced. "Clouds" would be the last album where the Death Metal grasp was strong, and it’s a telling sign of what the band would discover in themselves two years later. For stepping away from pure Death/Black Metal and laying the groundwork for "Wildhoney", "Clouds" is a historically important record that helped to shape the booming Doom Death Metal scene of decade.

South American re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary Swedish Atmospheric Gothic Doom Metal band.
The album was marked a strong change in the style of Tiamat's music, with more Progressive Rock and Psychedelic music and a less Death Metal-oriented style. The music on the album deals with the occult, nature, and LSD. Not even Tiamat's previous achievements and accelerated evolutionary pace could have prepared fans and critics for the unbelievable sounds contained in the groundbreaking "Wildhoney". The album elevated the band's combination of lingering Death Metal roots and Ambient soundscapes to unparalleled heights of invention. Not necessarily a concept album in the lyrical sense, the record still operates as a virtually seamless aural experience, as tracks are often grouped into extended suites.
The album was produced by Waldemar Sorychta and released by Century Media records in 1994. Vocalist Johan Edlund and John Hagel were the only two remaining members of Tiamat. After the release of their 1994 tour mini-album, "The Sleeping Beauty: Live in Israel", Edlund fired all members of Tiamat except for John Hagel. In 1994, Tiamat began working on"Wildhoney" album with session musicians Magnus Sahlgren, Lars Sköld and Waldemar Sorychta, who acted as a keyboardist and producer.
The album was one of the highest-selling records for Century Media on its release. It sold better than the previous bestsellers of the label, Grave and Unleashed.
One of the classics of the genre, “Wildhoney” is an album ahead of its time, and many bands that are commercially successful drank for it until the point of exhaustion. “Wildhoney” represented the end of an age for Tiamat, and a great number of the band’s fans think that it’s their finest moment, because the following releases didn’t present the same strength and Avant-garde courage.  Hear it, buy it, because “Wildhoney” is really a classic in the deeper essence of the word!

Despite being released only one year after their debut album, "Sumerian Cry", the compositional and musical evolution of the band is evident, with lower Doom/Death Metal orientation.
The album is a very fine represents Melodic Death Metal that time, having made a big step of Tiamat that has progressed musically very much. A Doom/Death Metal classic from 1991 that is quintessential and proved highly influential for tons of musicians worldwide as it took a slower, gloomier route during the Death Metal boom instead of speed things up like many other peers did. Especially the great Woodhouse production gave “The Astral Sleep” a special atmosphere and unique sound.
