The debut full-length studio album by Italian Progressive Metal band.
“Imperviae Auditiones” is a good Prog album. Barbara Rubin’s vocals are very good, taking the listener on a journey through the story of each song. The Progressive elements of the album are also excellent – the ‘twiddly’ bits which are associated with this genre aren’t overdone, so the listener isn’t sitting there thinking ‘when is this going to end?’ Indeed, every member of the band is a talented musician, and they all get their time in the spotlight with wonderful solos. They all come together very nicely.
Overall, “Imperviae Auditiones” is a solid album. Recommended to anyone looking for something a bit different for their CD collection.
