Classification of used discs (CD/DVD/Vinyl) and tapes (MC/VHS)

NM+, M-, M (Mint) = disc or cover (booklet) looks like new, although it has already been used several times.

EX+, NM-, NM (Near Mint) = disc or cover (booklet) in very good condition. There may be light traces of use on cover (booklet) or disc (that do not affect the quality of playback).

VG+, EX-, EX  (Excellent) = disc or cover (booklet) have obvious visual signs of use that do not affect playback quality.

G (Good), G+, VG-, VG (Very Good) = not perfect visual condition of the disc or cover (booklet). Possible single clicks or crackles while playing.

P (Poor), G- = bad visual condition of the disc or cover (booklet). The record is still playable, but there is a lot surface noise; possible clicks and jumps. The cover and contents can be torn, stained or defaced.

B (Bad) = The cover and content are damaged or partially lost. The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
