The fourth full-length album by legendary American Progressive Metal/Rock band.
After the breakthrough success and worldwide respect that Queensrÿche gained from their conceptual masterpiece "Operation: Mindcrime", it was a fair assumption that they couldn't possibly outdo or perhaps even match themselves. "Empire", released just two years after that watermark, reveals that Queensrÿche reinvented themselves (though certainly not for the last time).
While many fans were clamoring for a conceptual sequel, the band offers a song-oriented approach that is more Art Rock and less Metal (though "Empire" does Rock Hard in places).
Far removed from the fantasy and techno-paranoiac themes of "Operation: Mindcrime", the lyrics tackle social and physical handicaps ("Best I Can") and issues such as poverty and regret ("Della Brown"). Geoff Tate, Chris DeGarmo, and company focused much less on the darker side of love so prevalent in their earlier sound, and looked at romance head on with "Another Rainy Night" and "Hand on Heart."
While Queensrÿche lost some die-hard Metal fans with "Empire", the mature sound and tight production of Peter Collins (Rush) saw the band break into the mainstream and hit number nine on the Billboard singles chart with the Pink Floyd-inspired power ballad "Silent Lucidity", which has remained one of the band's set standbys into the 21st century.
The album stands as Queensrÿche's most commercially successful release, reaching triple-Platinum status and the single extracted, the power ballad "Silent Lucidity", reached No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Silent Lucidity" was also nominated for the Grammy Awards of 1992 in the categorie Best Rock Song, as well as Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

Remastered re-release of the third full-length studio album by the legendary American Progressive Metal band.
Originally issued in 1988, the hard-edged album slowly worked its way up the charts and became the band's first Gold-certified release (an opening slot on Def Leppard's sold-out "Hysteria" tour certainly didn't hurt, either).
The story-line of this concept album-Rock opera centers on a drug addict who falls in love with a former prostitute turned nun. Together, they uncover a dangerous underground movement and try to stop it before it's too late.
In January 1989 album ranked #34 on Kerrang! magazine's "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums Of All Time". In the United States, the album was certified Gold a year after its release and was certified Platinum in 1991. The song “I Don't Believe in Love” from the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1990 under the "Best Metal Performance, Vocal or Instrumental" category. The Metallica classic "One" won the category.
"Operation: Mindcrime" is the Queensryche's best and most consistent release, one of the '80's best releases and one of the best concept albums ever produced!!!

Album shows the band musically transitioning to a different direction with more clear influences to Pink Floyd, which is partially. Everything from the songs to the performances is superb, with the production also being particularly great. From the opening salvo of "Walk in the Shadows" to the closing notes of "I Will Remember" is a tour de force in Queensr?che magic. It's a really amazing album that shows the band musically transitioning to a much more unique sound that was makes them famous.

Remastered re-release of the debut EP by legendary American Progressive/Heavy Metal band.
Originally recorded in June 1982 as a demo tape, this release came out in 1982 on Queensrÿche's vanity label 206 Records. It was re-issued in 1983 after the band signed to EMI Records. EP garnered international praise, receiving much airplay and selling an unusual number of copies for a small independent release. To support the EP, the band toured with Quiet Riot through the south and with Twisted Sister to the East Coast and Canada, and played in Seattle opening for Dio. After the tour had ended in November 1983, the band began preparations for their first studio album, "The Warning".
A CD version of the EP was released in 1988. The 1988 reissue by EMI saw the addition of a bonus track, "Prophecy", which was recorded during the "Rage For Order" sessions in 1985–86. This song was performed live by the band circa 1983, and was included on the 1984 "Live In Tokyo" home video.
On the 2003 remastered edition, tracks 5–14 were live recordings of Queensrÿche's second performance in the tour supporting "The Warning", held August 5, 1984 at the Nihon Seinen-kan in Tokyo, Japan. The performance was previously released on VHS in 1984 as "Live In Tokyo".
In 2005, “Queensrÿche” EP was ranked number 336 in Rock Hard Magazine's book of “The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time”.

The first European re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Progressive Metal band.
"The Warning" proved to be a holding pattern for Seattle's Queensrÿche, offering quality classic Metal with lyrics tending to the mystical and occult. The band wrote the material for "The Warning" during their tour in support of the "Queensrÿche" EP, inspired by world events and the 1949 George Orwell novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four". Elements of Judas Priest, Rush and Iron Maiden are evident in the music, but the band takes inspirations like these and make them, not the base of the music, but add these influences as extra spice in their own style.
The album was recorded in various recording studios in London with Pink Floyd-producer James Guthrie. "The Warning" featured more Progressive elements than the EP. It was a moderate commercial success in the United States, although none of the singles charted domestically. However, "Take Hold of the Flame" was an international hit, particularly in Japan.
In support of the release, Queensrÿche went on a worldwide tour from August 1984 through to July 1985. During the American leg of their tour, they were the opening act for Kiss on their 1984–85 Animalize Tour and Iron Maiden on their 1984–85 World Slavery Tour.
“The Warning” began Queensryche's road to Rock royalty. With its Orwellian themed lyrical content, stunning vocals and sheer musicianship, this conceptual Prog-Metal album helped launch their long tenure in the Rock charts.
