The debut full-length studio album by Spanish Atmospheric Funeral Doom Metal one-man-band.
The project of Angel Chicote, who has played or play in bands like Graveyard Of Souls, Mass Burial, Ad Nebula Nigra, Ultimo Gobierno, Sinergia, etc, all inside the Extreme music. Ornamentos del Miedo was born in mid-2017 as the need to strip the reality of all ornaments and mirages that we have built to adopt us, to a miserable existence across a deep and dark sound.
Ornamentos del Miedo, it is a trip to the depths of the subconscious, where truth exists naked and unpolluted by the ego and survival instinct. It is an oneiric experience where self-imposed reality fades it. Reflections on life and death. Dark and deep sound like the anguish of existing. For lovers of bands with their own sound.
The Spaniards sound very matured on this album. Nothing feels forced or rushed. Everything is patient, well-planned, and well-executed. There’s a great deal of beauty, emotion, sadness, and hatred in this music without there being too much overlap or there being chunky, awkward transitions. Musically speaking, this is a seriously impressive Funeral Doom release. The parallels that can be drawn from the subtle transitions from vulnerable to vengeful are entirely relatable in life, and the band has captured such effortlessly.
Great riffs, soaring solos, effortless control of songs, captivating atmosphere - Ornamentos Del Miedo attempt to bridge the gap between beautiful and terrifying. A must for any Funeral Doom fans out there!
