Officium Triste is one of the oldest Dutch Doom/Death Metal bands. Originally formed as a Death Metal act, Reincremated, they split up and restarted as Officium Triste in April 1994.
The "Reason" was originally released by the now defunct Displeased Records in 2004 and is considered to be the highlight of the band's output by many. The five songs on this album display dark moods and outstanding melodies.
Every fan of the second generation of Doom/Death Metal, which followed My Dying Bride in its path, those who enjoy bands like Yearning, Slumber or Novembers Doom have to get to know Officium Triste!
Re-release includes extensive linernotes by vocalist Pim Blankenstein.
