Monolith Levitation and Dekonstruktor have really pulled off an impressive split album here.
If you’re a fan of Swans, you’ll have a good time with Monolith Levitation. Grooves are very heavy in a tribal sort of way, both tracks are very Trance like, with a really deep droning vocal line that can shift pretty impressively to a primal cry with ease.
Dekonstruktor come at us with a very similar sound with some subtle but distinctive differences. We have a much more Psychedelic Rock vibe coming from these guys. Heavily effected, mournful vocals lend to this same Psych Rock vibe.
This two curious and crushing bands takes on a style with the lot of originality, redressing the balance of genre. Musthave for any who in it!!
