The twelfth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
The release of "Endgame" brings with it a startling realization - if first-generation Thrash Metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter-century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been: "well, anyone but Megadeth!". And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later (more than any of the other three have managed) that's exactly what's come to pass.
It was the second Megadeth album released through Roadrunner Records. This album is the debut for new guitarist Chris Broderick (ex-Nevermore, Jag Panzer), following Glen Drover's departure in 2008 and the band's last studio album with bass guitarist James LoMenzo; original bassist Dave Ellefson would rejoin the band only several months after the album's release.
The album was the continuing of the success from the band's previous album "United Abominations". "Endgame" entered the Billboard 200 at number 9 (marking the band's tenth overall top 10 debut), and has sold around 150000 copies in the U.S. as of April 2011. "Head Crusher" had been nominated for "Best Metal Performance" at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.
"Endgame" is arguably the least commercially concerned Megadeth album since "Rust In Peace" some 20 years earlier, and by touching on so many of the favoured songwriting styles of those early years, it should not only give their typically opinionated fan base very little to kvetch and moan about, but also throw new fuel upon the flames of Megadeth's unlikely longevity.

Arguably Megadeth's strongest effort and a classic of early Thrash, "Peace Sells..." combines a Punkish political awareness with a dark, threatening, typically Heavy Metal world-view, preoccupied with evil, the occult, and the like. The anthemic title track and "Wake Up Dead" are the two major standouts, and there is also a cover of Willie Dixon's "I Ain't Superstitious", which takes on an air of supernaturally induced paranoia in the album's context. The lines between hell and earth are blurred throughout the album, and the crashing, complex music backs up Dave Mustaine's apocalyptic vision of life as damnation - his limited vocal style is used to great effect, growling and snarling in a barely intelligible fashion under all the complicated guitar work.
This was the last Megadeth album to feature drummer Gar Samuelson and guitarist Chris Poland, who were fired shortly after the album was released.
"Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" is highly regarded as a Thrash Metal classic and as an album that gave prominence to Extreme Metal. It has been featured in several publications' best album lists, including Robert Dimery's "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" and Martin Popoff's "Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums of All Time".

Produced by Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, it was released on frontman and guitarist Dave Mustaine's Tradecraft label via Universal Music Group. Prior to “Dystopia”'s recording, longtime drummer Shawn Drover and guitarist Chris Broderick announced their departure from the band.
Musically, "Dystopia" is more energetic and focused than anything Megadeth have released in quite a while. Following the lukewarm response to the band's previous album, 2013's “Super Collider”, “Dystopia” received largely favorable reaction from critics, being considered a return to form for the band. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, making “Dystopia” the band's second highest charting album in the U.S. after “Countdown To Extinction”, which peaked at number two in 1992. Additionally, the title track earned the band its first Grammy win (for Best Metal Performance) at the 59th Grammy Awards after eleven unsuccessful nominations. The fourth official live album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
It was recorded during the band's acclaimed 2012 Countdown To Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour at a show at Fox Theatre in Pomona, CA, on December 7, 2012, and features the band performing the entire "Countdown To Extinction" album.
Though Megadeth and their founder Dave Mustaine have spent their entire existence just a few steps behind Mustaine's former group Metallica, it's important to remember that they've also spent a lot of time as one of the most popular Metal bands in the world. The summit of their commercial success came in 1992 with fifth album "Countdown To Extinction", a creative high point from Mustaine and crew possibly spurred on in ways by the footrace with Metallica and the leaps in production made on their self-titled 1991 breakthrough album.
Twenty years later, "Countdown To Extinction" still stood as Megadeth's best-selling album, and in many circles, their most loved material. "Countdown To Extinction: Live" is a concert document of the 20th anniversary tour that found the band playing the album front to back, bookended by a few odds and ends from other albums. While the premise seems pretty rote, the execution of the live album is surprisingly interesting.

"Rust In Peace" was released on September 24, 1990. It was the third Megadeth album distributed through Capitol Records. The album was the band's only collaboration with record producer Mike Clink who was the first producer to successfully produce a Megadeth album from start to finish, without being fired. It was the first album to feature guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza, following the firing of both Jeff Young and Chuck Behler in 1989.
"Rust In Peace" was very well received by both critics and fans and was responsible for bringing Megadeth to the attention of a mainstream Metal audience, and it is considered one of the most influential Heavy Metal albums of all time. The album was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 33rd Grammy Awards, and "Hangar 18" was nominated for the same award at the 34th Grammy Awards. Allmusic described the record as "easily Megadeth's strongest musical effort", and it was noted as one of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". It entered the Billboard 200 at number 23, and was eventually certified Platinum by the RIAA in 1994.
"Countdown To Extinction" was released on July 14, 1992 through Capitol Records. It’s Megadeth's best-selling album, with over two million copies sold and achieving double Platinum status. Remastered re-release of the first compilation album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
“Hidden Treasures” is a collection of previously released non-album tracks, including soundtracks and compilation songs. It was originally released in Europe as a special bonus CD for “Youthanasia”, before being released in Japan and the US as a separate EP later that year. The remastered version almost matches the Japanese release (with the bonus tracks moved to the end of the disc). The one difference is that the demo version of "New World Order" is replaced by the final version. Whilst this appears to be a mistake, it was probably intentional, as the demo version of "New World Order" already appeared on the remastered “Youthanasia” album. The remastered version of “Hidden Treasures” was not officially released in America due to the inclusion of most of the songs on “Warchest”.
The album debuted at #90 on U.S. Billboard charts.

Third European re-release of the debut full-length album by American Thrash Metal legend.
A Thrash classic in every sense of the word! Released in June 1985 through Combat Records and Relativity Records. During the beginning of 1985, the band was given $8,000 by Combat to record and produce their debut album, but this proved to not be enough and so the band was given a further $4,000. Instead, a majority of the budget was spent on drugs, alcohol, and food so thus the band was forced to fire their original producer and produce it themselves. Despite the resulting poor production, the album was a well-received effort that was credited for blending elements of Thrash and Speed Metal. It explores themes of death, violence and social commentary, and received positive reviews from most music critics.
The album featured track "Mechanix", a song Dave Mustaine originally wrote for Metallica (recalled by Metallica to "The Four Horsemen" in “Kill 'Em All” album with changed lyrics, a bridge section and a new guitar solo added).
Undoubtedly, their rawest-sounding, most intense, fastest, angriest, and overall thrashiest album they've ever released!!

Arguably Megadeth's strongest effort and a classic of early Thrash, "Peace Sells..." combines a Punkish political awareness with a dark, threatening, typically Heavy Metal world-view, preoccupied with evil, the occult, and the like. The anthemic title track and "Wake Up Dead" are the two major standouts, and there is also a cover of Willie Dixon's "I Ain't Superstitious", which takes on an air of supernaturally induced paranoia in the album's context. The lines between hell and earth are blurred throughout the album, and the crashing, complex music backs up Dave Mustaine's apocalyptic vision of life as damnation - his limited vocal style is used to great effect, growling and snarling in a barely intelligible fashion under all the complicated guitar work.
This was the last Megadeth album to feature drummer Gar Samuelson and guitarist Chris Poland, who were fired shortly after the album was released.
"Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" is highly regarded as a Thrash Metal classic and as an album that gave prominence to Extreme Metal. It has been featured in several publications' best album lists, including Robert Dimery's "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" and Martin Popoff's "Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums of All Time".

Remixed and remastered re-release of the eighth full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
It is the band's final studio album released through Capitol Records. The first Megadeth album since 1990 to feature a band lineup change, "Risk" marks the studio debut of drummer Jimmy DeGrasso with the band, as well as the final appearance of long time Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, who announced his departure a year later, in March 2000.
Meant to be a breakthrough to Alternative Rock and active Rock radio, "Risk" received a mixed response because of the great deviation from the band's traditional sound. The backlash ultimately resulted in the band returning towards a heavier sound with their next album, "The World Needs A Hero".
The album debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart and became the first Megadeth album since "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!" to not receive a certification by the RIAA. Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has blamed the record's lack of success on the fact that it was released under the "Megadeth" name, "if anybody else's name was on "Risk", it would have sold".
"Risk" is not much of a departure from its two predecessors; more reflective, melodic, and conventional than the Megadeth of old, it delivers a well-played set of Hard Rock tunes suitable for Metal and AOR fans alike. Some of those tunes are catchier than others, and they're enough to carry the album if you're a fan of this style. Even if the album's title is a misnomer, it's starting to see Megadeth still around, and still successful!!

Remastered and remixed re-release of the third full-length studio album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
A largely uninspired effort recorded with a new guitarist and drummer, "So Far, So Good...So What!" lacks the conceptual unity and musical bite of "Peace Sells...", which helps push much of its lyrical material into the realm of self-parody, as Mustaine rants about the PMRC, the apocalypse, ex-girlfriends, and other people he is angry with, while hinting at the depth of his substance abuse problem with "502", a paean to driving drunk. The album wants to sound threatening but mostly comes off as forced and somewhat juvenile; typical is the embarrassing cover of "Anarchy in the U.K.", which is played in Megadeth's tightly controlled riffing style and without the looseness of the original, making it sound stilted and stiff - and Mustaine doesn't even get the lyrics right. This one is for diehards only. 
It is the band's only album recorded with Chuck Behler and Jeff Young, who were fired immediately after the subsequent tour. This album features one of the first songs Dave Mustaine wrote for Megadeth, which was "Set The World Afire", being the first song he wrote after being fired from Metallica. He later admitted writing the lyrics during his journey home from the departure.
"So Far, So Good… So What!" sold 400000 copies one month after its release, becoming Megadeth's fastest selling album at that point. The record eventually went Platinum and indicated Megadeth's forthcoming emergence from the Underground scene.
A remixed and remastered version, featuring several bonus tracks, was released in 2004.

The fourteenth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
It was released on June 4, 2013 and is Megadeth's first album to be released on Mustaine's own label, Tradecraft, after the band's split with Roadrunner Records. There are 11 tracks on the standard edition with 10 of the tracks being new material and the 11th track being a cover of the Thin Lizzy song "Cold Sweat". This album is diverse. We get melodic Metal. This is not Megadeth's heaviest album; there are definitely strong elements of Thrash and Metal in the album.
The title track, "Super Collider", was released as the first single on April 23rd, 2013. The second single was "Kingmaker", but while a YouTube video was released for the song it was not made available for purchase before the album release. It’s debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, making “Super Collider” the band's highest charting album since 1994's “Youthanasia”. Super Collider is the first Megadeth album since “Cryptic Writings” (1997), not to feature a lineup change from the preceding album. The album also features a guest appearance from Disturbed and Device vocalist David Draiman.
This is a great album in its own right, delivering a lot of great quality tunes that many people have been overlooking because they just can’t get over that this is not “Rust In Peace”.

Second official compilation album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
The title "Capitol Punishment" is a pun with "Capital Punishment" and it refers to the fact that there was an album left on the contract for Megadeth to release via Capitol before they can leave. So the label released this compilation. Hence this is the last release via Capitol. "Kill the King" and "Dread and the Fugitive Mind" were new recordings done for this release. With the exception of material from the band's debut album, "Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!", which was released on Combat Records rather than Capitol, the compilation contains songs from all Megadeth's previously released albums at the time. In addition to the new track "Kill the King", Capitol insisted on the inclusion of "Dread and the Fugitive Mind", a track recorded for the "The World Needs A Hero" album, then in the production stage. The band agreed simply to release themselves from their obligations to Capitol, but the enmity between band and label was memorialized in the title of the album, intended to demonstrate that working with Capitol was a form of punishment :). At the end of the album, there is a hidden medley track, "Capitol Punishment", which is 4:46.
As of December 2005, Capitol Punishment had sold over 200,000 copies in the U.S.

The fifteenth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Produced by Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, it was released on frontman and guitarist Dave Mustaine's Tradecraft label via Universal Music Group. Prior to “Dystopia”'s recording, longtime drummer Shawn Drover and guitarist Chris Broderick announced their departure from the band.
Musically, "Dystopia" is more energetic and focused than anything Megadeth have released in quite a while. Following the lukewarm response to the band's previous album, 2013's “Super Collider”, “Dystopia” received largely favorable reaction from critics, being considered a return to form for the band. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, making “Dystopia” the band's second highest charting album in the U.S. after “Countdown To Extinction”, which peaked at number two in 1992. Additionally, the title track earned the band its first Grammy win (for Best Metal Performance) at the 59th Grammy Awards after eleven unsuccessful nominations. The album sold 148 000 copies in the US by December 2016, becoming the second biggest-selling Heavy Metal album released in 2016.

The tenth full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Band's second and final studio album released by Sanctuary Records. "The System Has Failed" was the first of three Megadeth records not to include original bassist and co-founder David Ellefson. Instead, the album features session players, including former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland on lead guitar, the very talented guitarist whom he'd fired after the masterful "Peace Sells" album back in the day. However, Poland only provided lead guitar parts and solos on a contractual basis and did not rejoin the band. That re-pairing of Mustaine and Poland alone makes "The System Has Failed" worthwhile. No, this isn't a good old-fashioned Thrash album, but you can tell Mustaine is going for that vibe, especially on songs like "Back in the Day", one in particular that should give dyed-in-the-wool headbangers a giddy sense of déjà vu.
"The System Has Failed" marks a return from the dead for Megadeth - and quite a glorious return, it must be said. When bandleader Dave Mustaine was diagnosed in early 2002 with radial neuropathy - strained nerves in his left arm and hand - the snarling guitar shredder was forced to disband his once groundbreaking band after nearly two decades of activity. Granted, it wasn't that big of a loss at the time, chiefly so because Megadeth had long passed its prime. The band's key recordings date back to the Speed Metal era, from 1986 (the year of "Peace Sells...", "Reign In Blood" and "Master Of Puppets") to 1992 (the year Megadeth, like Metallica a year earlier, made a distinct, more commercial shift, releasing "Countdown To Extinction" - to the dismay of many longtime fans). Following "Countdown", Megadeth struggled. The band continued to release albums, but they weren't well received and, very sadly, one of Metal's once preeminent acts became a bitter has-been. So after Mustaine's injury, the disbanding of Megadeth didn't seem all that unfortunate at the time - it seemed overdue, some would argue. Then in 2004, shortly after an exemplary reissue campaign, Mustaine resurrected Megadeth for "The System Has Failed".
"The System Has Failed" is actually more of a synthesis, taking the reckless abandon of pre-"Countdown" Megadeth and infusing it with the melodic songwriting of latter-day diamonds in the rough like "Symphony of Destruction" and "A Tout le Monde". Add to this some especially thoughtful lyrics (archly political, nakedly personal, and shamelessly mature), and you have the recipe for an excellent, damn near perfect Megadeth album, up there with "Peace Sells", "Rust In Peace" and "Countdown To Extinction" - as unlikely as that may seem.
"The System Has Failed" received positive reception from critics and managed to debut at number 18 on the Billboard 200. Regardless of where "The System Has Failed" ranks alongside Megadeth's other standout albums, however, it most certainly blows away practically every other aboveground Metal album of 2004! No joke!! This is the sort of latter-day masterpiece Metallica struggled in vain for a decade-plus to record to no avail!!!

Originally released on November 1, 1994 through Capitol Records, it saw Megadeth continuing a trend toward slower, more melodic Hard Rock songs which began with their commercial breakthrough album, “Countdown To Extinction”.
Megadeth's previous album, “Countdown To Extinction”, was tremendously successful and the band was faced with the daunting task of making an album to follow it.
It was a time of problems and conflicts for Megadeth, in that every two weeks or so according to Mustaine, there were "outrageous emotional interventions" in order to make the band a democracy. Many band meetings during this period concerned Mustaine's creative control over a "successful formula", so that the band could better exercise their creativity.

The title "Back To The Start" is a reference to lyrics in "Rust in Peace... Polaris" tracl: "The day of final conflict/All pay the price/The third World War rapes peace/Takes life back to the start." The cover art is an edited version of the “Castle Romeo” H-bomb test.
The selection of tracks for the album was largely determined by fans, who voted on songs in polls on the band's website. However, the inclusion of "Kill the King", a track originally released on “Capitol Punishment: The Megadeth Years”, was insisted upon by Mustaine. To help promote the release, a new video was made for "Kill the King".
"Greatest Hits: Back To The Start" reached No. 65 on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 17 441 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. By December 16, 2005, the album had sold about 133 000 copies in the U.S. The album was also certified Gold in Canada (for 40,000 copies) in July 2011. On July 23, 2011, in Toronto, Canada, the band was presented with Gold Plaques by EMI in recognition of the achievement.

Darker, heavier, and more immediate than 2009's "Endgame", Dave Mustaine's snarling vocals ride higher in the mix this time around, but fans need not fear, as his fleet fingers are still possessed with the power to conjure the dead!
It is the first Megadeth studio album since “The World Needs a Hero” (2001) on which bass guitarist and founding member Dave Ellefson performs. This is the third and final album in the band's contract with Roadrunner Records. Album features a combination of newly composed tracks, along with older cuts written years ago, but never put to tape. Three tracks of the album are re-recordings of songs that were written around 1991 and have already been released on other Megadeth albums. A demo version of "New World Order" was included on the 2004 remastered edition of "Youthanasia". "Black Swan" was originally written for the "Youthanasia" recording sessions. It was released as a bonus track on the remastered deluxe version of "Youthanasia" and "United Abominations". "Millennium of the Blind" was also released as a bonus track on the 2004 remastered version of "Youthanasia".
The lead single from “Thirteen” was the Al Capone-inspired "Public Enemy No. 1". This was followed by "Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)" about a month later. A third song from the album, "Sudden Death", was released as a single prior to the announcement of “Thirteen” to promote "Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock". Both "Sudden Death" and "Public Enemy No. 1" received Grammy nominations, as did "Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)". "Whose Life" and "Public Enemy No. 1" were nominated for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance at the 55th and 54th Grammy Awards respectively, and "Sudden Death" was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 53rd Grammy Awards.
“Thirteen” debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold about 120 000 copies in the United States as of December 2012. The album has received mostly positive reviews from critics and has a Metacritic rating of 71/100.

The first re-release of the eleventh full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Megadeth has been through a lot of line-up upheaval circa the early 21st century, with long-time leader Dave Mustaine being the only familiar face left in attendance. But Megadeth's crunchy, venomous Thrash Metal has remained intact, as heard throughout their 2007 release, "United Abominations" (their first for the Roadrunner label).
While many Thrash Metal bands take the easy way out lyrically - by detailing their encounters with Señor Beelzebub - Mustaine has never shied away from voicing his opinion about politics and the state of the world. The lyrics of the album deal with politics and the state the world is in, stating the album is the band's most politically charged. And as evidenced by such biting tracks as "Washington Is Next!", "Gears of War", "Amerikhastan", and the title track, Mustaine remains as outspoken as ever about what he's been seeing on CNN for the past few years.
Musically, Megadeth were never afraid to show off their Prog-worthy chops, and the 2007 line-up (which sees Mustaine joined by bassist James LoMenzo and the sibling tandem of Glen Drover and Shawn Drover on guitar and drums) appears custom-made for tackling "tricky bits", including the album-opening "Sleepwalker". Elsewhere, a re-recording of "A Tout Le Monde" - as a duet between Mustaine and Lacuna Coil's Cristina Scabbia, has "radio/MTV airplay" written all over it.
While touring to promote the album, guitarist Glen Drover left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Chris Broderick, leaving this as the only Megadeth studio album to which he contributed.
They may have lost the plot for a period, but with "United Abominations" Mustaine and company certainly sound reborn!
“United Abominations” was well received by critics and debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200, the highest chart position for the band since 1994's “Youthanasia”. The album was named the Number One Metal album of 2007 by Guitar World.

The release of "Endgame" brings with it a startling realization - if first-generation Thrash Metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter-century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been: "well, anyone but Megadeth!". And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later (more than any of the other three have managed) that's exactly what's come to pass.
It was the second Megadeth album released through Roadrunner Records. This album is the debut for new guitarist Chris Broderick (ex-Nevermore, Jag Panzer), following Glen Drover's departure in 2008 and the band's last studio album with bass guitarist James LoMenzo; original bassist Dave Ellefson would rejoin the band only several months after the album's release.
The album was the continuing of the success from the band's previous album "United Abominations". "Endgame" entered the Billboard 200 at number 9 (marking the band's tenth overall top 10 debut), and has sold around 150000 copies in the U.S. as of April 2011. "Head Crusher" had been nominated for "Best Metal Performance" at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.
"Endgame" is arguably the least commercially concerned Megadeth album since "Rust In Peace" some 20 years earlier, and by touching on so many of the favoured songwriting styles of those early years, it should not only give their typically opinionated fan base very little to kvetch and moan about, but also throw new fuel upon the flames of Megadeth's unlikely longevity.

The sixteenth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Released on frontman Dave Mustaine's Tradecraft label via Universal, it is the first Megadeth album to feature drummer Dirk Verbeuren, their last album with guitarist Kiko Loureiro, and their first studio album in six years since "Dystopia" (2016), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in the band's career.
Work on The "Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!" began in 2019, but faced a number of delays due to Mustaine being diagnosed with throat cancer the same year, along with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In 2021, long-time bassist David Ellefson was dismissed from Megadeth following allegations of sexual misconduct. His bass parts were removed from the album and were re-recorded by Testament bassist Steve Di Giorgio, while former bassist James LoMenzo rejoined the band following the album's completion. The album was produced by Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw.
As of December 2022, six Singles have been released from the album. The first, "We'll Be Back", was released via streaming services on June 23, with "Night Stalkers" following on July 22. The third Single to be released was "Soldier On!" on August 12. The title track was released as a Single on September 2, the same day as the album.
"Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!" received generally positive reviews, and debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 with 48 000 units and is Megadeth's highest-charting album around the rest of the world, reaching No. 1 in Finland, No. 2 in Australia, Poland, Switzerland and Scotland, and No. 3 in the UK, among others. The lead single "We'll Be Back" was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

The fourteenth Single by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Released in UK only, it is the fourth Single from the band's fifth full-length studio album, "Countdown to Extinction".
The song, written by Dave Mustaine, deals with the theme of a failed suicide attempt. The song has often been thought to promote suicide, what is incorrectly, according to Mustaine: "This is a song about how many times I tried to kill myself and just couldn't get the fucking job done. This is "Skin O'My Teeth"! That's about people who want to end it and just can't get it together. You know, they cut their wrist; it's just not deep enough. Or they decide to get hit by a car and it just breaks their leg or something. This song in no way condones suicide. Life sucks, that's why people get fat and lazy; this is "Skin O' My Teeth".
The release also includes the previously unavailable tracks "Holy Wars (General Schwarzkopf Mix)" and a live version of "High Speed Dirt". 
The Passes sticker sheet for the Megadeth game is missed.

The second Single from the fifteenth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Following a heavy, punchy beast of a lead Single "Fatal Illusion", Mustaine and company have upped the ante even further with "The Threat Is Real", while also providing a rock-solid reminder of where this band came from, as well as a big part of where the Bay Area sound itself derived its unique character.
The structure of this single's A-side is fairly similar to its immediate predecessor, featuring introduction material and cycling through a series of twists and turns in a manner fairly reminiscent of the elaborate approach of "Rust In Peace". But here a long, gradual move from a marching stomp feel at the beginning is traded out for an atmospheric middle eastern inspired prelude that is hauntingly beautiful despite the ominous picture that it paints, which is immediately followed by a more agitated riff set that has all the menacing clatter of an AK-47, but still with a general feeling of buildup. The riff set is quite busy, the mixture of the whole resounds in a very heavy-handed way comparable to the percussive character of a modern groove outfit, and the lead guitar exchange between Dave and Angra's own Kiko Loureiro manages to recapture that primitive shredding vs. Progressive noodling dichotomy that Mustaine originally shared with Marty Friedman.
Of equal importance to the power of this short studio outing is the B-side, a cover of Fear's classic "Foreign Policy", highlighting Hardcore Punk's highly synergistic relationship with Thrash Metal in a manner quite similar to when Megadeth covered "Anarchy In The UK" back in the day. In terms of execution this song is more of a faithful reproduction with a few obligatory present day exaggerations, particularly a more wailing set of lead guitar noise during the brief instrumental breaks, a more gravely and nasty vocal display out of Mustaine, and an even heavier overall sound that is actually more aggressive sounding than anything Megadeth has pulled off in their more than 30 years of existence.
Released on November 25, 2015 on streaming services, and on November 27, 2015 on vinyl, "The Threat Is Real" is the second most performed song from the album, being played nearly 230 times as of September 2022. The song debuted live in Denver, Colorado, on February 23, 2016. A live performance filmed at Hellfest 2016 was featured on the DVD of the Japanese Deluxe Edition of "Dystopia".
The song was ranked the third greatest from the album by Return Of Rock.
