BRUTALITY “Brutality 2003 Demo & Bonus Tracks” /CD/

Compilation album by cult American Death Metal band.
This veteran Florida band formed in 1987 and has already released four albums. This demo they recorded back in 2003 after a long time being silent. The demo consisted of three tracks and was self-released and distributed on CD-R by the band at the time. These songs were "As Darkness Falls", "I Deny", and "Ashes and Snow". This Vic Records release expands to a total of 13 tracks, with a running time of just over 58 minutes.
The style remains the same for the new songs, which is Death Metal. And although the next few albums were also very good, it seems that internal issues in the band led them to fall short in reaching a top spot. Without getting too much into drama, it all involves the obvious differences in musical creation, but also weirder things that include relationships in the band and gender changes… or something along those lines. Whatever it is, it’s the music that matters and in that they were always very creative when it comes to riffing, and their way of creating those massive riffs reminds of a similar way Bolt Thrower composes their war hymns. They also do have great vocals, no matter who was doing them.
If you are a fan, get it! And if you have not discovered the band, fix that by getting their CD.
