THE GREAT KAT "Beethoven On Speed" /Digipack CD/

Remastered re-release of the second full-length album by the Legendary Speed/Thrash Metal/Shred guitarist-virtuoso.
The Great Cat Thrashes Beethoven!!! A handful of the problems on Kat’s debut have been fixed here, most notably her tendency to focus on grooving guitar riffs where this virtuoso should be shredding her balls off. Also, it’s nice to hear her Speed Metal covers of classical songs which tend to be better than her originals. The reason is simple: Kat can barely compose music, but she can sure play it. If you look into her history, you will see that Kat is a violin player who graduated from Juilliard School. The guitar work is about as fast as you can get without increasing the tempo in the studio. It’s extreme music whose primary allure is its extremeness. The CD is like a Grindcore album, except this is far more enjoyable than what half of the grind bands put out because the “noise” that Kat creates is actually difficult to make. Its sounds like Yngwie meets S.O.D. It’s as neo-classical Speed Metal. It’s definitely the kind of music that will appeal to lead guitarists who are obsessed with shredding. With the practically omnipresent sadomasochistic overtones, it also might appeal to some other, more interesting crowds…
Cause this is LP of 21st century!!
