Seventh full-length album by legendary German Symphonic Folk/Gothic/Industrial Death Metal band.
“Atlantis” sees Atrocity returning to the harder side of Metal after having released “Gemini”, an album that probably catered only to fans of Rammstein and “Assembly” era Theatre of Tragedy. This time the band have set out to create a pompous hybrid Metal album that sounds like a mixture of new Therion, new Samael, Rammstein, Fear Factory and Nu Metal. They’ve reintroduced symphonic elements and operatic vocals into their music to add a touch of bombast. Very solid album, very consistent. The drums are fast and professional, the vocals are well done and the symphonic element is not too corny at all and really contributes to the album positively.
CD also includes “Cold Black Days” video clip.
