The third DVD by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
It’s contains the entire Crüe videography (21 promo videos, 6 alternate versions and 3 candid unreleased videos) plus commentary of videos by Nikki and Tommy.
In their day, they were the most raffish band in the land. Anyone who followed the Crüe during their halcyon days in the 1980s or has read their bio will know just what a wild bunch Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, and Mick Mars really were. Also appropriately titled is this DVD, "Greatest Video Hits". You get what you pay for with this one. From their days as MTV darlings through their phase with Neil's temporary replacement John Corabi and beyond, this disc presents the glitz, the grit, the girls, and the pure gluttony for excess that these L.A. Metallurgists stood for. Like shots from an Uzi, you get Mötley's best-loved videos of their best-loved songs in rapid fire. No truncating, interjections, filler, or fluff. Just the blood, guts, and silly makeup. Of course, there are extras, but the 21 clips start off the DVD uninterrupted. You've got classic Hair Metal rockers like "Dr. Feelgood" and "Girls, Girls, Girls", a rousing concert version of the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the U.K.", and the band's coolest story video, the over-the-top clip for Brownsville Station's "Smokin' in the Boys Room". There are also six alternate videos (including the X-rated version of "Girls, Girls, Girls"), an informative interview with Sixx and Lee from 2003, and even three hidden tracks - "Public Enemy #1", "Take Me to the Top", and "Shout 97" - which are, for some insane reason, very hidden (but if you search the web you'll find the codes to hunt down these Easter eggs).
If you're a Crüe fan, or you think there might be one skulking deep inside of you, you have to have this DVD! It's Mötley law!!

Second re-release of the fourth full-length album by the legendary American Glam Metal band.
"Girls, Girls, Girls" continued Mötley Crüe's commercial hot streak. In general, the Crüe really plays up the sleaze factor on this album, trying to recapture some of the street-tough grittiness that fueled "Too Fast for Love". The production is too polished to really give the record a raw, dirty feel, but the raunchiness comes through all the same. Again, there's a bit of filler, as though the band knew they didn't have to make a completely consistent record to maintain their popularity, but there are enough high points along the way to make "Girls, Girls, Girls" an entertaining Party-Metal platter.
The album features a more Blues-influenced sound than their previous albums. The record also reflects the band's hard-living lifestyle, and pays homage to their love of riding Harley Motorcycles, drinking whiskey, drug use, life on the Sunset Strip, and spending nights at strip clubs. However, there are darker sides to the album as well, notably Nikki Sixx's song "Dancing on Glass", about his addiction to heroin, and "Wild Side", which tells of destructive lifestyles and the pitfalls of decadence. Members of the band have stated that if they hadn't managed to write two successful songs that this album would have been the end of their careers. This is because they were all fighting addictions to drugs and alcohol.
The song "Nona" is a tribute to Nikki Sixx' grandmother, who died during the recording of the album.
The album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts. On the week it might have reached No. 1, Whitney Houston's second album, "Whitney", debuted at the top of the charts. The album was also the band's third straight album to go 4x Platinum, after "Shout At The Devil" and "Theatre Of Pain".

Special Edition European only fifth re-release of the fifth full-length album by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
This is the last album to feature Vince Neil until his return for their 1997 album “Generation Swine”.
Produced by Bob Rock, which found the process of working with Mötley Crüe difficult, describing the band as "four L.A. bad asses who used to drink a bottle of wine and want to kill each other". In order to minimize conflict and allow production of the record to proceed smoothly, Rock had each member record their parts separately.
"Dr. Feelgood" topped the Billboard 200 chart, being the first album Mötley Crüe had recorded after their quest for sobriety and rehabilitation in 1989. In addition to being Mötley Crüe's best selling album, it is widely regarded by music critics and fans as the band's best studio album. "Dr. Feelgood" and "Kickstart My Heart" were both nominated for Grammy awards for Best Hard Rock Performance, but lost twice to Living Colour. It was sold more than 6 million copies in the U.S. and went Gold in the U.K.
Lars Ulrich of Metallica asked Bob Rock to produce their self titled album “Metallica”, after being impressed with Rock's production work on “Dr. Feelgood”.

Crücial Crüe special edition re-release of the sixth full-length album by the legendary American Glam Metal band.
Band’s first and only album released with singer John Corabi, and was the first album of new material released by the band since their 1989 album, “Dr. Feelgood”. Following the success of the “Dr. Feelgood” and “Decade of Decadence” (best of compilation with remastered and remixed tracks) and tours, the members of Mötley Crüe were tired and needed to take a break from the non-stop pressures of the road. While working on new material in the studio in early '92, Sixx, Mars and Lee had a falling out with Neil that led to Neil quitting or being fired from the band, effectively leaving Mötley Crüe without a singer. For the recording of the album, Mötley Crüe reunited with Bob Rock, who had produced their most commercially successful album, 1989's "Dr. Feelgood". With Corabi now fronting the band, the members took advantage of the fact that he brought more to the table than Neil did. Sixx had never worked with another lyricist before, and Mars had never played with another guitarist. Also, the band had never previously written songs through jamming. During the recording of the album the band committed itself to sobriety, with a strict regimen of no drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, red meat or caffeine. The band worked with a physical trainer each morning, and took vitamin pills to keep their bodies nourished. Although there were occasional slips off the wagon, the members were determined to repeat the success of "Dr. Feelgood". The recording sessions proved to be fruitful, with a total of 24 songs written and recorded over the 10-month recording span. Lyrically, Corabi's influence pushed away from the band's usual themes of sex and rebellion. Sixx enjoyed working with Corabi on the lyrics, feeling Corabi’s "normal" lyrics balanced out his own "demented" lyrics. But songs still had more familiar themes, including "Smoke the Sky," which was about marijuana use, and "Poison Apples," which was about the decadent Rock 'N Roll lifestyle that the band was famous for living.
“Mötley Crüe” debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA on May 3, 1994.

Special edition re-release of the eighth full-length album by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
The original line up of Mötley Crüe, which consisted of singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars, had reunited for the "Generation Swine" album and tour in 1997 mainly out of pressure from their management and record company. Even though the band had reunited, problems still existed between Lee and Neil, as Lee felt that the band had been going in a backward direction since Neil rejoined the band. Lee was also having domestic problems with his wife, model Pamela Anderson, which, after an altercation following an argument, led to him serving time in jail.
“New Tattoo” shows the band going back to their earlier musical style that gave them commercial success in the 1980s. Longtime drummer Tommy Lee left the band a year before, and was replaced by former Ozzy Osbourne drummer Randy Castillo (R.I.P.) on the album. Bad-boy Tommy gone AWOL and many fans might be disappointed in knowing that this has absolutely no effect on the sound of the band whatsoever. Randy does a more than capable job of filling Lee’s substantial shoes. Long considered one of the hottest drummers around, his playing on “New Tattoo” shows his seasoned skills are firmly intact. Topped off with a ultra-cool version of “White Punks On Dope”, “New Tattoo” shows that Mötley Crüe are aging gracefully, possessing as much musical bite as ever and accomplishing it all with their patented nihilistic mind-set! The songs "Hell on High Heels" which charted at number 13 on the Mainstream rock charts, "New Tattoo" and "Treat Me Like the Dog I Am" were released as singles for the album.
Album was produce by Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses).
“New Tattoo” debuted at #41 on the Billboard 200 and slid down shortly after. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album has sold about 203,000 copies in the U.S. to date.
Right before the tour in support of the album, Castillo fell ill. He was consequently replaced by Hole drummer Samantha Maloney. Castillo died in 2002.

The ninth full-length album by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
It is the band's first studio album in eight years, and it marks the return of long-time drummer Tommy Lee since 1997's “Generation Swine”.
This is a concept album based off of the bestselling book “The Dirt”, which is the bands autobiography. The themes of the songs go right along with the book and tell tales of drug abuse, partying, getting signed to Elektra, the music industry, and simply f****ng shit up. The band also refunds the sound it helped invent on this album. Gone are the groove inspired tunes of the Crab era and the industrial dabbling of the late 90's. In its place are high octane rockers in the vein of “Dr. Feelgood”. This album is a return to form it sounds modern as well. Also almost every song on the album was co-written by Nikki's band mates in Sixx AM. This is probably what led it to sound more modern but Nikki can do that on his own, he is a master songwriter.
From start to finish this album rocks you to the ground and doesn't let up for a second. This is music to snort coke to, to bang girls to, and to crash your car to! If you’re a Motley fan and you don't enjoy this album from start to finish you just aren't a Motley fan and should go home now!!
Music videos for "Saints of Los Angeles", "Mutherfucker of the Year" and "White Trash Circus" have been made.
“Saints Of Los Angeles” debuted at #4 on the Billboard album charts, selling about 99,000 copies in its first week of release. It also debuted at #14 on the Australian ARIA album charts, #5 in Sweden, #3 in Canada, #47 in Italy and #9 in Finland (although it climbed to #6 in its second week). Though the band's first single, the title track "Saints of Los Angeles", was their second highest charting single in the US mainstream rock charts ever, peaking at number 5, subsequent singles fared less well. "Mutherfucker of the Year" peaked at number 29 and "White Trash Circus" peaked at number 37 on mainstream rock charts.
No doubts, this is the best band’s album to the date!!!

Crücial Crüe special edition remastered re-release of the second full-length album by legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
“Shout At The Devil” was band's breakthrough success, bringing them to international attention and establishing Mötley Crüe as one of the top selling Heavy Metal acts of the 1980s. The same time it was a textbook example of Heavy Metal as it existed in the 80s. Song topics included sex, violence, drugs and youthful rebellion. In addition, the visual influence of the band in this era was palpable as their massive hair, makeup and tough, violent imagery contributed greatly to the visual aspects of Glam Metal.
"Shout At The Devil" displays Mötley Crüe's sleazy and notorious (yet quite entertaining) Metal at its best. When compared to its predecessor, "Too Fast For Love", one can see that the band's musical range certainly widened over the course of its first two albums; the record features catchy, Hard-Rocking songs, but also includes an instrumental ("God Bless the Children of the Beast") and a powerful cover of the Beatles' "Helter Skelter". While such later albums as "Dr. Feelgood" would achieve a higher amount of critical acclaim, no Mötley Crüe album surpasses the quality of "Shout At The Devil"!
"Looks That Kill" and "Too Young to Fall in Love" became huge hits and "Shout at the Devil" became very popular as well. “Shout At The Devil” is regarded as the heaviest sounding Mötley Crüe album by critics and fans alike. Album was placed at17 position in “The Billboard 200” and awarded 4x Platinum (reaching the four million mark in shipments) on May 15, 1997.
In 2003, the band re-issued their albums on their own label Mötley Records including added bonus tracks from each album's specific era.

Crücial Crüe special edition re-release of the third full-length album by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band Mötley Crüe.
Released in the aftermath of singer Vince Neil's arrest for manslaughter on a drunk driving charge, the album marked a step away from the traditional Heavy Metal sound of “Shout at the Devil” towards a more Glam Metal influenced record, in both sound and image. “Theatre of Pain” is dedicated to Hanoi Rocks former member Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley, who was killed in the car crash that resulted in Vince Neil's arrest.
The album reached #6 in the US charts, and #36 in the UK. The album was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA on June 5, 1995.

Crücial Crüe special edition re-release of the debut full-length album by the legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
This is really quite a shame, because as with the release of this album, Mötley opened the door for the entire Glam Metal genre. With this record, recorded in only about a week, the band not only turned the Metal scene on its ear, but did so pretty much on their own. They had no real major label backing, and gained popularity by word-of-mouth alone.
First press 900 copies were released on November 10, 1981 on the band's Leathür Records label. Elektra Records signed the band the following year, at which point the album was remixed and partially re-recorded. This re-release, with a different track listing and slightly different artwork (e.g., red lettering on the cover and a different interior photograph of the band), has become the standard version from which all later reissues derive.
On their debut album, Mötley Crüe essentially comes across as a bash-'em-out bar band, making up in enthusiasm what they lack in technical skill. Yet that's part of the appeal of "Too Fast For Love", a chance to hear the band without the glossy production of their later, most popular work, showcasing their down-and-dirty roots. The fact that Pop-Metal songwriting was not really a consideration helps the album come off as more genuinely trashy and sleazy, celebrating its own grime with exuberant zest. This is the Crüe playing it lean and mean, effortlessly capturing the tough swagger that often came off a bit more calculated in later years, and it's one of their most invigorating records.
While the album only reached number 77 on the Billboard 200 album chart in the US, it would ultimately reach platinum status. What we have here, is a solid album from start to finish. There is not one bad track here, and at no point should anyone get bored and want to skip songs!

Crücial Crüe special edition re-release of the seventh full-length album by the legendary American Glam/Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band.
The album marks the return of lead singer Vince Neil following his last appearance on 1989's "Dr. Feelgood" and the last album to include drummer Tommy Lee until his return for their 2008 album "Saints of Los Angeles".
"Generation Swine" debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA on August 27, 1997. Despite the strong charting debut, the album failed to return the band to the level of critical and commercial success that had been hoped for with the reunion, and according to Nielsen SoundScan the album has sold about 306000 copies in the U.S. to date.
Speaking of the album in 2008, singer Vince Neil states that the album was "terrible" due to "too much experimenting".
Generation Swine would be the band's final release on Elektra Records, as the label and Mötley Crüe would break their relationship off in early 1998. Future releases from the band would come from their own Mötley Records.

Crücial Crüe special edition re-release of the fourth full-length album by the legendary American Glam Metal band.
